The club would have known about it as they would have been contacted by the FA about the disciplinary hearing outcome and I'm pretty sure would the Evening Mail would also know about it and kept it quiet on the instruction of the club hoping nobody would find out.

Clearly the Club and the Mail won't put any bad news out about the events at the Club - in future perhaps people should put it on here seen as we won't get it from any of the official channels?

There are many more "in the know" people on here than Steve Shaw, and he'll only find out what certain people want to tell him.
And equally, as pointed out - how come BBRC never reported it? Or the BBC Football website for that matter?

Some people on here are unbelievable.
so Steve shaw a football journalist hasn't wondered why the manager is in the stand and hasn't asked the question.
Of course he knew.
The club wanted it kept quiet as a lot of this was going on whilst the ban for swearing was being dealt with.

I don't think he should be sacked and think his punishment is harsh.

I would fully expect any daughter of mine (and I have 2) to stand up for themselves and respond in kind rather than bleat (or somebody bleating by proxy) about it.
I 100% believe in true sexual equality in all walks of life, and I know that anyone can stick up for themselves if they truly believe it too.

There was a Harry Enfield sketch a few years ago (and perhaps Python before that also) where a game of football was reduced to 'after you','no, after YOU' and all supporters politely clapping everything. This is where this sort of head-up-arse, nanny-state inducing nonsense is going. I would have more respect for Edmo if he had refused to pay the fine and stood his ground.
Shame on the people who have let it get this far and shame on those supporting the punishment too.

Recently Emmanuel Frimpong 'stuck up for himself' in Russia following racism and received a ban himself. The 'RFU' also found no evidence of racism.

Is this just a case of 'oh its just words why are people bothered'?

( http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... ban-racism )

Regarding the punishment, I think 99% of people would agree its probably harsh for the incident, HOWEVER, the club have [SwearFilter] themselves over by banning people for far less serious incidents than this, so I question why isnt Edmo banned along side these other people? Blatantly the club have tried to keep this under wraps to avoid these questions.

So all local media, national media, the non-league paper etc are all singing to Barrow's tune? Don't be daft.
The question probably has been asked, but if the club wanted to make up another reason, it could.

The ONLY mention of it anywhere is on the FA website, and it's only taken until now for anyone to have the inclination to check it. I reckon the club's probably working on putting together something now it's been found out, because it's pretty embarrassing that they would try and hide it. They only had to go another week and they'd be 'in the clear'.

Or it could all be a big conspiracy against the fans, as it always is...

This has been known about since before the start of the season by the club and presumably the Mail as Edmo's ban started on the first game of the season. TBH no other paper would probably be that bothered as other incidents are happening to clubs up and down the country. It was only a fan who was aware of it that posted about it and from there the FA's disciplinary charges could be found as proof - I think this is normally published a week after the after the charge has been administered. TBH I'm surprised someone didn't see it before now but everyone presumably had other stuff on their minds with the season starting.

The club aren't gonna say anything about it as it damages their image of being a family club and shows their double standards of banning a fan for next to nothing at the same time this charge was going through. The Mail aren't gonna say anything as they won't want to upset the club as they won't get the stories from the club and players if they slag off Edmo over this.
Now its been publicised on here I suspect that the Mail will do something about it as they can use the excuse they got the story from here.

However the club are stupid if they thought could get away with this one.

Not saying what was allegedly said was right or wrong, but one thing is for certain, having been a referee myself for a lot of years she is in the wrong job.

As far as I can see that Linesperson didn't hear it or action any of this.

You don't have to agree on the rights/wrongs of what Edmo said (and according to one poster on here, he did say it) to see the massive double standard being applied by the Mail and the club. Good post above from Spongbob.

Double standards i was told the person who was banned was only banned because if the club didn`t take this action he would have received a banning order
making his ban much longer,if i am wrong then i apologize but if i`m not then please tell me what else could they do?
