A lot of posters on here questioned their quality lack of goalscorers etc we told more or less to shut up!
Interesting to see if people still think this way!
We are struggling for consistency and it's alright saying can't wait till January but I've got to be honest i wouldn't trust edmo to go to the shop for me and that's with a list! :(
I shouldn't think for a second that there is anybody at the club who would know enough about players at this level to do anything but back the manager's choice of players. Sadly, it's looking more and more as though he hasn't much judgement when evaluating players!

Second half we did nothing apart from blast a couple over the bar.

This isnt good enough im not sure our management team are good enough considering how poor this league is.

Fair play to Deasy made a couple of good saves and appriciated the support from us. So much for Edmo and Meeks calling him a pub league keeper!

Very dissappointed.

Maybe you should have put pressure on the keeper? ;)

We need to change it. The centre midfield pair worked once weeks ago, it hasn't since.
Give grimes or wilson a start.
Walker has only scored one scrappy goal from open play this season and can't think of many he has made.
Symington and Livesey OK at the back. Get Williams in for grand.
And sort the centre midfield out.
Where's mellor

I would go grimes and wilson up front Tuesday.
Let's change it a bit.

That is about 5 changes to the side that started today. Against Edmo principles I'm afraid. He's shown massive faith in the starting 11 today. With the exception of Pilkington coming in it was the same side who put in a forgettable first half performance against Aldershot.

Lets be honest and look at the evidance,we didnt win the league last year-Fylde lost it by cocking up on the run in.We should have been in the play offs and Chorley and Guiesly were both better teams than us BUT-we somehow won it by Fyldes poor form and found ourselves in the national league.
Paul Casson puts his faith in Edmo and has sanctioned his signings because he trusts Edmos judgement,or he did at the time. The football being dished up is poor, the passion is poor(and always was last season included) and the fans are voicing their concerns and rightly so.Paul Cassons dream is to make Holker Street a "family day out",a place where proud Barrovians can take their families and enjoy a bit of Barrow passion ans support their local club. You have to admire the guys intentions but its just all so very vwery flat and the passion is non existant from the players, managers and supporters alike.
What happened to "shoes off if you love Barrow",what happened to the "hoardes from the north",whats happened to the bleak Tuesday night matches that were fuelled by a passionate yet cold crowd roaring the team on?--its all gone, the fights gone and the passion has gone.
Its been replaced by bizarre signings that were bigged up to be "top quality players",these players are being benched week in and week out,the substitutions and team selection is so random its unpredictable and the goals are virtually non existant.
If Cooky gets injured we are stuffed, how long before the likes of Elliott Newby and Brad Carroll get cheesed off and either ask for a move or to go on loan?,why are they signed and not being played(they are better than a number of players who comfortably make the team sheet each game).Theres only so many excuses that can be used for our position and lack of passion.
I beleive we have some great players and that they could become a good team that can fight and entertain the crowd, the problem is that theres just no motivation or guille despite the players being on "decent " money allegedly.
God knows what the answer is but ive just witnessed another poor performance and I feel that we have been lucky to take points off teams this season,as we have been the poorer team.People wont keep spending their hard earned money watching dross and its becoming more evidant each game.I will probably get slated for my views by some but beleive me I am not on my own feeling like this.Rant over.

Some people are saying which Barrow team will turn up. Well the one that turned up at Alty was actually quite good. It was better than the one that turned up at Macclesfield. However, we didn't score - hitting the post twice in the first half & Deasey making a couple of fine saves. In the bar after the game my Alty mates said they'd got out of jail...and they had. Our fault is not punishing teams we all know that. I personally feel that we lack creativity in the centre of midfield - Coperthwaite & Lacey is too defensive one or the other is fine but only use both when we are ahead of the game so to speak. My other great worry was when Reeves scored we reverted to long ball after playing on the ground for the first 60 minutes. We played into Alty's hands and lost the plot. Forward line is Ok but we could do with a predator like Reeves in our tem - nicking that all important goal in tight games. Maybe Newby could be the answer but he is very young. Too many times Cook won the ball but it fell to their centre backs who cleared. Walker tends to play a little to wide to feed off those knock downs.

However I don't think a managerial change is the right thing to do as someone else said the management has sanctioned these transfers over the summer & I do believe there is commitment in the squad regardless of whether they turn up to talk to us after the game. Not sure if I could have turned up if I'd been playing after the match - I'd just be too gutted.

I could go on and on but I'm just frustrated

finally what happened with their goal - I was standing yup the other end - it appears our defence went awol - is that correct?

Sad to see so many decent supporters with the same view. It's almost like the management team are playing a management computer game drunk! I only witnessed Macclesfield away but it seems each game is literally not possible to predict, not the result but the performance.

Seems nowadays the football spoils a good day out with mates.

Saying Newby is too young is stupid.

He is 19. We won't know how he can handle playing at this level until he actually plays at this level.

5/10 minutes or 90 seconds every other well wont answer anything.

Take a gamble. Start him Tuesday.

Then again taking gambles mean we can't stick to long balls

I agree. He played for Bolton Wanderers Reserves last season and I read he was at Aston Villa Reserves too, playing against Prem League players every week. Im presuming that was a higher standard than Conf. No disrespect.

I thought we played quite well today we didn't take our chances tho but I was encouraged by our first half play

Nice to see loads of young alty fans getting autographs from their Heros at the end of the game we need to do more of that

In terms or togetherness - I'm not bothered about socialising with players - but not having a pot to [SwearFilter] in and being up against it brings people together - we have a budget higher than Alty's I'd say I still think mr Casson isn't getting good value for money

The Manager seems a nice fella but totally devoid of ideas.
Needs to go .

We played very well for the first 10 minutes, dreadful second half.

Absolutely no way Pilkington is fit, didn't run after the first 10.

Haworth played OK, cookie was quiet which added to our lack of goals. I like Walker but as mentioned hasn't scored much this season, would like to see Wilson start.

Thought Cowps had a good game however the midfield obviously isn't working, we would have won that game if Harvey had been playing, makes you wonder where on earth mellor and fofana are, be taking in about 1k a week each and no one knows there whereabouts!

I've criticised Symington however he played OK at right back today.
