Finishing in the play offs is where we are aparantly aiming. We are throwing money at it to do so.
Never really works does it?
You are clearly a complete retard if you cant see that.

A lot can happen in a season Patrick.
For example one year you can reach the play offs then 12 months later you cease to exist because you reached the play offs.
Try researching some stuff. Its honestly quite fun and then when you have done so you know what you are talking about

Oh dear.
Ive clearly already told you that in the 09/10 season that Rushden and Diamond reached the play offs.
In the 10/11 season they dissolved.
Dont be afraid to research things. Honestly its dead easy! If you can read, use a keyboard and mouse and breathe at the same time youll learn loads.

Re: Bluebirds Trust Q&A
Come on lads, healthy respectful debate and all that! there's a lot of good points being raised in here.
Paul Casson said in the Q/A session that "We’re not in a position to push for the Football League just yet, we're getting ahead of ourselves really".
so with hindsight, and all these totally valid points being raised time and again- the follow up question to this is surely about the business plan / strategy to get us into a position to push for the football league, how does that look- what are the top 5 "off field" priorities for the next 1-3 years. What are the tangible measures of success?

"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

Re: Bluebirds Trust Q&A
1. Get a commercial team in place with two main remits a) make money and b) provide a good service to the fans.
2. Decide whether we are going to replace the ground stand by stand or move it sideways...and get it done! BTW...I fear that the sale of the Bluebird is going to SEVERELY hamstring any preferred options at that end.
3. Stop arsing around with shite catering and get someone in there who will serve up Delish pies, decent coffee and burgers that aren't a pallid grey hue.
4. Listen to the fans with regards to the merch and especially the 'replica' kits (including NEVER having a [SwearFilter] red kit ever again - someone should be sacked for THAT one!).
5. Either put up or shut up with regards to the 'matchday experience'. Get cloud internet sorted pronto. Sort out the parking and the exits. Make the program worth buying. Offer some activity in the bar rather than just turning the telly on. Come up with some ideas!

Re: Bluebirds Trust Q&A
Even if we get promoted i honestly think it would be a disaster,we are nowhere near prepared for this,no infastructure etc.the ground, commercial side, roles for the directors,we need to establish players living/ training in barrow,we need to have this not empty words from paul casson sorry paul but until it`s all put into practise we are going nowhere, lets get the timescale/strategy wrote down and shown to the fans then all this debate will stop and we all know where we are going god forbid anything happens to you but we would be in a right state!

Great post, couldn't agree more re the red kit, however don't think we have seen the last of it.Bigfathoss wrote:1. Get a commercial team in place with two main remits a) make money and b) provide a good service to the fans.

Theyve had 18 months to do this and something is clearly amiss.I just don't buy this " we are still learning , weve made a few mistakes" shite. Its been a year and a half and very little has changed in that time
2. Decide whether we are going to replace the ground stand by stand or move it sideways...and get it done! BTW...I fear that the sale of the Bluebird is going to SEVERELY hamstring any preferred options at that end.
I don't think we will hear anything about the ground for a long time yet. I get the feeling the work will only start should we reach the football league where grants will help cushion the expense.
3. Stop arsing around with shite catering and get someone in there who will serve up Delish pies, decent coffee and burgers that aren't a pallid grey hue.
The catering should all be in house. Look at Fylde the other month. Cups of tea and coffee in cups with the clubs crest on, staff in AFC Fylde branded adidas clothing. Small details but improved the sense of togetherness at the club and just shows how little things like that can make a big difference. Matchday experience, EVERYTHING should be Barrow AFC. Weve got plenty of room to build a little kitchen somewhere which could have a big pie warmer in it with a griddle for burgers and such like.
4. Listen to the fans with regards to the merch and especially the 'replica' kits (including NEVER having a [SwearFilter] red kit ever again - someone should be sacked for THAT one!).

These are things that won't happen until the club either realises it or employs someone who will be able to go round and spot these things.
The clubs internet connection has been broken for 18 months now so I don't think any plans to get wifi installed will be happening in this millenium. Of all the things weve not sorted surely internet at the club would be pretty high up the list.
