we keep mentioning "volunteers" if we as a club can`t pay someone say£25 to man a few turnstiles then where are we going?,this would keep the fans happy and stop embarrassing threads like this happening!

Come on Paul Casson/Austin Straker it`s not rocket science our fans seem to be secondary to a lot of things lately!

Thats the downside . For the future though its something worth looking into. Printing a ticket that gets scanned by a steward for entry into the ground.

I reckon we will always need the option of a paying turnstile simply for the floating fans who decide to go to the game on spur of the moment?

At Forest Gump - not a ground I like going to - tickets can be printed at home then scanned by a reader to open the turnstile. No human intervention necessary.

I agree that, except in very limited circumstances (e.g. a major game which has sold out), there should always be an option to pay cash on the day.

If the problem is volunteers, maybe a recruitment drive of some kind might get people coming forward, im sure you could get a few people who would man a turnstile from 2:30-3:00 for free entry or something.

Sounds like the process of admitting someone is a bit slow too, maybe club officials could sit down and work out another process, or quiz another club how they do it? With a little investment we might be able to bring this process up speed. Even just electronic counters, some kind of coin holders/distribution machines, I dont know myself just throwing ideas out there.

Think the problem happened on Saturday because of the Tranmere fans being given one of the stand turnstiles, therefore all the Barrow fans had to go through the one other, there is normally 2 available to home fans

The problem was because there was segregation tranmere had their own turnstile open for ground entry, but as some of their fans wanted to sit down they had to come through our stand turnstile to pay because nobody is there to take £1 off them maybe we could have opened up the two turnstiles underneath the trust office but as richard said manning them is a big problem.Just a reminder that the two stand turnstiles are for stand users only so if you want to come through those gates you pay £15
