Sunday would be better for those who promised their good lady wives that we'd be able to take the children to a Fireworks Display but now are incredibly tempted to go to a new ground. Speaking on behalf of a friend there, obviously.
Dave, tell your friend to tell the kids bonfire night is cancelled this year due to Brexit.

Also Dave, are you aware of the dangers in attending such an event as a "Firework Display?"boyliegladbach wrote:I would be happy with a Sunday game.Lancaster Branch wrote:

Its in your best interests as a father and a husband to attend another event allowing the above mentioned family members to possibly watch several Disney films instead, like about 16 of them.
I am purely thinking of your family Dave and maybe you should be doing the same?

A Saturday match at 12:15 kick off and possibly a Sunday game the week after, no good will come of it.We're all doomed, doomed I tell yer

Both these games bigger than this game against Barrow FC

And by the way, it's Barrow AFC - not FC.

Knowing that this will probably start a daft argument..
If there's limited away tickets, I personally think it's got to be 2 per ST first day and then also make sure that when they come out on General Sale, they can be bought over the phone, so as not to penalise those South of Manchester that make up the majority of the away crowd at many far flung places.
That would happen at any normal football club

Re: FA Cup 1st Round Draw (Taunton away)
Valid point BA, over half of those who go to our away matches in the South don't actually live in Barrow so there needs to be an arrangement for purchasing tickets over the phone and posting them out or other facility for them to get tickets.barrowaberdeen wrote:Knowing that this will probably start a daft argument..![]()

Also interesting to see who'll get priority for tickets - season ticket holders/life patrons first then maybe NSC/Trust members then general sale, initially in the ground at the Eastleigh match?

Of course we could have a membership scheme...

Re: FA Cup 1st Round Draw (Taunton away)
I have a flight for the Friday and a flight for the Saturday planned out so yes, if the TV people could hurry up and decide before they go up in price it´d be appreciated!
Re: FA Cup 1st Round Draw (Taunton away)
I have fond memories of the Taunton ground. My in-laws lived a few hundred yards away (in Shakespeare Avenue for Tauntontommy's benefit). I used to go to the odd match when on obligatory family visits. Used to stand on a covered side tracing. There were only about 5 steps on the terracing and standing was only about 6 deep. But the matches I went to were pretty well shoulder to shoulder full (maybe it was raining outside!) and the roof was very low (felt like you could reach up and touch it) so the atmosphere in there was superb.
Mind you, I used to go and watch Taunton rugby as well (union!) so maybe I was just desperate to get out of the house!!
