Second goal is Dixons fault. Stuck record but he is nowhere near commanding enough when the ball comes into the box

I would put both goals down to Dixon, should have punched both to safety, looked better second half much more commanding in his box probably after a rollicking from Cox at half time.

surely the club will appeal that sending off!!! the lad did nothing i could see on the footage.

there's absolutely nothing at all done by Hughes - shouldn't have even been a yellow. The Taunton number 4 who was involved with Hughes should have had a red for grabbing Jordan Williams round the neck though....

not sure i'd blame Dixon for the 2nd goal - the Taunton number 9 fouled him - watch his arms interfering with Dixon as he's trying to catch the ball

Taunton Town purposely left the grass very long to stop the ball rolling quickly and slow the game down.
It was almost impossible to run with the ball.
Nothing wrong doing this, but the game will be played at a much higher tempo at Barrow in the replay.
The Taunton Chief Executive/Chairman/Groundsman on Radio, blamed the length of the grass on a flooding problem they had in one corner of the ground and chemicals they put on to try and rectify the problem.
Incidentally, the length of grass for Premier league matches can be no longer than 30mm long.
This length though does not apply outside that league.

Aye, no queues at the turnstiles and the beer tent was a good do. Not sure if they'll get in trouble for the smokes being let off, I'd hope not.

We got 345 tickets in total (think some were set aside for players families, club staff and the like) and we returned around 100 so something like 245?
Agree about Hughes sending off but I don't know if the BBC camera is conclusive enough to over-rule the referee?
However I think Matt Dodd also filmed the game so the club may look at that to see if it provides a better view of the incident before looking at an appeal.
Echo previous comments about Taunton in that on the whole everything went well especially the beer tent bars to get everyone in the ground early (meaning no problems with turnstile queues) and they were good hosts.

I think the replay will be Tuesday 15th November, soon as I get confirmation of the date and the prices, I'll publish the posters.

According to the rules it needs to be played by the second Wednesday, or earlier if both clubs agree. Doubt if Taunton will want to play this Tuesday, would agree on 15th.
