Clueless stewards barring innocent fans

On my way home I saw a group of young lads (strangely, about fifteen to twenty) stood by the traffic lights on the corner of Wilkie Rd/Holker St being watched by our stewards. My question would be - why were they hanging around there if not waiting for or looking for trouble?

Exactly the same thing happened after the Tranmere match. On that occasion the police were on the ball, and were moving them on when I went past.

Not condoning any of the incidents but there were what, 10/15 Solihull fans there today and were in the area specially segregated for away fans. Why weren't the Taunton fans? It was the same stupid and very foreseeable situation with Macclesfield last season, it's the stewards who need a warning.

Also, there were about 20 Taunton behind goal, a load of young barrow fans moved over to same area.
Why can no one have the sense to ask the Taunton fans to move 20 foot and then shut the fence? Common sense

Correct. We segregate all league games but seemingly not Cup games - why not when some of their idiots had a go at some Barrow fans down there?
The Braintree league game was segregated for their 15 fans but we don't segregate for 40 Taunton fans after there was an issue down there.

Nowt happened at the Taunton game barring prior stewardung and folk clueless about when to segregate. The club are clueless and have some nonsense family agenda.

There are getting on for 50 folk who wont attend. But all you quislings, club stooges and handwringers who want this will get the club you deserve.

Didn't go the game and didn't know it wasn't segregated. Why don't they just segregate every game and avoid any potential confrontations. It doesn't matter if it's 20 fans or 200 it only takes one or two and things can escalate. We saw this last season in one game, Where's the lessons learned from that episode?

What evidence is there that these lads are bad lads? Is it not common procedure to communicate with fans that they are banned ?

I must have gone past slightly after you then, I saw the group of lads were further down the road with two stewards and two police stood by the traffic lights on the corner. As I walked past one of the Stewards said to the policemen, "Shall I follow them?"... To which the police unsurprisingly responded with "no, they've left now".

I see a fair bit on here about the current stewards being on a power trip, which I haven't seen myself as I don't get to many games now and have probably only been to HS three times this season. However... the aforementioned scenario suggests that maybe they do need to be reminded of their role, if they think they should be following 'suspects' after leaving the ground.

If we do achieve football league status then games will be segregated anyway, start now, no reason why not to. As to the stewards, total joke, we've all seen passionate BAFC supporter's alienated and banned for next to [SwearFilter] all but faced with visitors bringing beer onto the terracing, brick it and do [SwearFilter] all

Hang on a minute, I thought that all home games were now segregated after what happened last season? then why does this not apply to cup games and why didn't this happen at the Taunton game?

It was just over twenty youths who were turned away from the club, apparently the stewards decided to whittle down some of the so called trouble makers amongst our younger element after Taunton on Tuesday.

Not sure who authorised this and only witnessed part of a conversation in earshot but tarring youths with the same brush by association is hardly sending out the right message is it, reeks of the tail wagging the dog here to be honest.

If the club are going to continue to alienate a certain age group then what does the future hold! By all means pull individuals to one side and deal with them on what concrete evidence you have but don't tar and feather Larry because he was stood next to Tim etc!

On a positive front our missing players who we used to engage with at the end of games! It was absolutely fantastic to see Moussa Diarra engaging with the supporters after receiving his MoM award, going the extra mile to come back into the room after formalities to pose for pictures with those in the bar post game.

More of this please Barrow AFC It brought a warm glow and plenty of smiles to those that were there and should be encouraged wherever possible.
