Re: Barrow v Lincoln City match thread
Having watched the highlights I notice that Turnbull provided the assists for the first 2 goals. Let's hope he can stay fit and get a prolonged run in the side.
Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom.....

Just watched the highlights and it looked like an elbow into Turnbull as he headed on for Bennett. Thank goodness the ref didn't blow immediately.

Correct Jim, and as I was very politely pointing the referees attention to the fact that he had missed the foul....he made me miss the goal.Jim wrote:Just watched the highlights and it looked like an elbow into Turnbull as he headed on for Bennett. Thank goodness the ref didn't blow immediately.
Did he play the advantage or did he miss the foul? judging by the other stuff he never saw all night, I'm guessing the latter.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Full credit to Bennett for burying the ball in the net rather than appealing for the foul. A striker's instinct, I guess.

Noticed that he made a point of shaking hands with the linesmen but not the ref when walking off. Pleasant chap that I'm glad we didn't buy.Hadrian wrote:Now after watching tv coverage: ...and then a fine by LCFC for his behaviour towards his manager when substituted.Hadrian wrote:Rhead ... should surely have been given a second yellow for his pantomime sarcasm towards the referee.
