Had to laugh at the statement he was brought in to plug the gap that Cooky left.
Hope he does well played 368 games scored 113 (43 goals for Ashford Town)

Shame as Byron has looked the real deal, his goals certainly helped propel us to dizzy heights. A speedy and thorough recovery Byron.

Massive loss if it proves to be a season ender. I hope he can rediscover his form once he's back.
Popular side since '03.

I've said it before, a far far better forward than Cookie, that's not saying AC wasn't a top striker at this level because he is but Byron brings so much more than "just" a forward who can put the ball in the net....Byron drags opposition players away allowing others in, he makes goals for other players, his control is far better than Cookies, his awareness is better, takes a far better penalty.

I don't think anything is confirmed yet, but if he is out for a few months I hope he can fire us up whichever league we are in next season.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Great news if he's back soon. If so, we are well covered for strikers. Only need another good winger and more cover for defence now!

I agree with this.
None of our players are donkey slow, but no one has devastating pace. I know, hard to find in this league, but what an asset if we can get someone just that bit faster.
Also, because of our style of play, someone more than adept at taking throw ins. Oh for a Rory Delap type - hard and flat into the area..
