I think NOT.
Maybe...maybe not...but the fact you know about them being on the shirt means it's already worked.

NWEMAIL wrote:The design – which has been finalised – has yet to be officially unveiled, but the plan is to do so at the start of June, with the shirts being stocked in the Holker Street shop and on sale by July 1.

Once again, they will be manufactured by Player Layer after signing a one-year extension to their arrangement, although Casson hopes a longer-term deal with a kit producer will be finalised for future seasons during the season.

“We have renewed with them for one more year,” he said. “We have put some language in place for them and for us, and as we go across the season we will be looking to sign a three-year deal to help take the club forward, hopefully into League Two.”

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I was only saying the other day that he couldn't possibly renew a deal with Player Layer after them being so expensive and unpopular... That's proved me wrong!

The kids teams in this town have better kits, with better merchandise, with a better more popular name making them and we have this shit.

I just have one question Mr. Casson... What the F...?!

Stinks of a half arsed approach. Its a massive " yeah that'll do" .

Seems that way to me.

I don't have the time to trawl through the forum for kit comments but I can't remember anyone saying anything good about them. People buy them out of loyalty, not because the product is good. He must have seen how many people were hoping for a change at the end of this deal.

IF that is our shirt for next season (which has it been confirmed it is?) then yes it is awful - looks more of a casual top/training top and the badge again is just wrong. I will wait for the official showing of the new kit but wrong decision to go with player layer again imo

If the club aren't using the opinions of fans on this forum as their primary source of research there's something wrong. It's a free tool.

Every other club use proven football manufacturers, for kits, team/leisure wear and general merchandise and it's proven to work and makes clubs a killing - why do we have to be different?
Popular side since '03.

Out of interest, who is the person wearing the top (at a U2 gig...hmm) and how/why did he get an advanced copy?
It all comes 'round again.
