That's a hard question. The owners say applicants have applied....who they are?? Will any interviews take place? Nobody here can answer that can they?

No but there is odds available on the next Chester manager so there's a lot of names on there. Marcus Bignot is 5/4 favourite to get the job. Other names include Gary Brabin, Dino Maamaria, John Askey, Kevin Davies, Paul Carden, Justin Edinburgh, Graham Westley

Have to agree with what you say

It appears you are bang on the money
The squad needs strengthing?
Is that not what Cox wanted but was let go as he was to keen on getting us promoted but he was ahead of the owners date of Christmas 2099?
No Casson is trying to field a team of 9 players as they are equal or better than what we had ,why field 11 he just has to convince the FA .

It's exactly what Cox wanted

Paul Cox wanted to recruit "biters and scratchers". That, it seems to me, is where the impasse lay. Agree, though, that it would be ridiculous to recruit new players without a permanent manager in place.
It all comes 'round again.

Hi mickmike if you want to tune in all you need to do is subscribe to BlueBird media page on youtube - tis the one with a pic of Holker St as main pic. This is numbers depending and we are still looking for volunteers to express their views and be part of the chat.
Do we have to subscribe as I just tune in to YouTube and click on the stuff I want to watch?

Please take into account that before Saturday Boreham Wood were 7th in the league and were unbeaten on the road
Draws at both Fylde and Tranmere and a victory against Torquay.
How about being abit more respectful of the opposition. Saturday was a very good result
Well said.

I thought Halifax were a decent team when they visited - a bit 'naughty' but they got a result. After the game, most people were saying we should be beating teams like Halifax. Really? Have a look at the National League table...

As Paul Cox said this league is gonna be wide open this season! Everyone is in with a chance!
I fully agree with this, IMHO whoever ins this league will have the lowest points total for several seasons, The quality gap has narrowed between most of the clubs & anyone can beat anyone on the day

Absolute drivel from Pedro. Peter I don't think Paul Casson can do anything right in your eyes you probably even criticise the way he parks his car. I am sure Paul Cox wanted to get us promoted, at least at the beginning of his tenure not so sure about later. Again you cannot keep players if they want to go and have a release clause. As for strengthening it has to be done sensibly and not just throw money at it otherwise you soon end up with no cash. Remember Peter Ridsdale.

Cox wanted success start to end. That's why he resigned. Lack of backing for additional players. Strengthening is positive but are we?? Selling off good young players....replacing with better?....reducing the community staff?....sensible?? It doesn't appear so surely?
Captain sensible Casson is steering his blue pig

Not with us he never. He is hardly going to get bucketfuls of cash at Guisley so can we presume lack of spending was not as important as people think.
How many times, if the players have a release you can not stop them.
As for the situation we are in now it happens in football I just hope the right manager is chosen but it is not an easy task.

No its not that Paul Casson cannot do anything right, its he says one thing and does another.
Not sure he will be parking his car much in Barrow .
He was allover the TV and Radio with his plans but has made a tactical retreat.
Paul Cox and a large number of players, staff including the CEO have left , would that really happen if they thought the club were going somewhere.

We are not talking about players going to big clubs as George Smith,Kenny Lowe and Neil Doughty did.
If they beleived in the VISION why would they have gone to clubs in financial trouble Carlisle and Blackpool?
This season will be crucial lets see what happens.
I honestly think Casson is out of his depth and never carried out due diligence before buying the club.
The cost of running the club has come as a shock hence the cutbacks and sale of players without the money being used to bring players in.
The work on the ground had to be done, the lights new boiler

Not disagreeing with the first part, but how do you know that's why he resigned?

You have absolutely NO idea why Paul Cox left, you have absolutely NO idea why the CEO left. You do however absolutely know why the players left - Cox released a large amount of them (RH, DL, SB, PT, ML etc etc) something you always seem to forget to mention. The other players left because of a release clause being triggered (RB) because we were top heavy with strikers (DC) and because two league clubs came in for two of them (JW & NWA)

Lets see, fulfilling ambitions of playing in the FL, money, agent involvement, playing in front of bigger crowds. End of the day 95% of players have little loyalty to clubs so if Carlisle or Blackpool folded (you conveniently forgot to mention Rochdale, because they don't fit your argument...perhaps) them players would move on to the next club willing to pay a wage. To state the blindingly obvious, them clubs are bigger than Barrow, so why would they not go.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

I think the glass is always half empty for Pedro and he has to except (like I do) that Barrow AFC is a privately owned company run by the owners as they see fit and we are its customers. I think its best to just enjoy the football and not think too deeply about what may or may not come to pass.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...
