Really?

I'd love to be able to give a couple of reasons that might make you change your mind.....unfortunately I don't think I'd be allowed.

I'd have PO back all day long though.
Take it somethings come with the territory when a club has a millionaire owner. Unlike Fylde or Fleetwood who have multi millionaire owners, probably far better advisers in the business, probably far better contacts also. Don’t want to see PC taken for a mug either I still think he has the clubs best interest at heart, we need to back him not fight him but we do need to feel that there will be stability arriving. I think the biggest kick in the nads for me was the physio departure because he was also a decent lad, not taking the players into account obviously
When Sean Riley left I said we would miss him and unusually I was slagged off.
We have a relative small squad and he actually did a good job at getting the players fit and keeping them fit, probably one of the most important people.

Got players booked in for operations and treatment with his connections as well which was a massive bonus.

I think Nieskens is due surgery with his injury.

So in your eyes a fans liaison director is there for anyone to ask him any question and I HAVE to give the answer? Is that how it works..?

Of course I'm restricted in revealing information the same as any other director (at any club)

By the way, I'm an supporter who has an unpaid role at the club, I most certainly dont "serve" anyone.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Must be a hard job which brings you into conflict as a supporter you will see things you do not agree with but protocol means you cannot comment, not a enviable role sometimes having to defend what seems the indfensible but not being able to comment.

Particularly at the moment most of us would be interested to know more, but it seems Soulboy is out of order making demands in his post above. The forum has no official status as far as the club is concerned. Largely (and I include myself), it’s a group of windbags sounding off about Barrow stuff. The forum isn’t important, apart from where it might be dangerous in some thinking it represents the views of the supporters generally (e.g. Andy Wood). The forum, by its nature, allows some to subjectively reach a status that is objectively thoroughly undeserved. Azalea the most obvious candidate (Self proclaimed King of the forum). Posting on the forum isn’t, in my opinion, important. It’s a bit of a laugh (not too much at the moment), sometimes informative, sometimes irritating. All I’d say is that posters shouldn’t take themselves too seriously, because in the overall scheme of the club, I repeat, the forum is unimportant.

Strange how quiet it is on this thread. Seems the infinite defensive positivity has been turned into something a bit more realistic. Maybe the reality is starting to shine through

Most of us know the reality, we just don't need to be reminded of it every five minutes. At least those who care will be there at 3 o'clock supporting the team.
I don't belieeeeeeeve it!

Usually there are a few posters who suggest this type of thing is some sort of master plan from the owner and that its part of the plan.
That's 5/6 resignations in as many months.

They've put all their eggs in one basket with Ogden and he has seen right through it and ran a mile.
a former member of this forum, I'm genuinely interested to know what you mean by that. Are you saying that the whole of the club's ambitions, on the field at least, was placed on his shoulders? Wouldn't he have known what was expected from the discussions he had with the Cassons? (only a few weeks ago)
It all comes 'round again.

Thank you (I think...)

It sometimes is hard, I'm a supporter and have been for thirty years now and I'm the same as any other supporter....I don't always agree with everything that happens at the club. All I want to do is give a few pointers/hints as to the other side of the story (there's always another side to every story) If I didn't say anything then any rumour would spread like wildfire and before anyone knows it....it's the truth.
If I go as far as I can (or would be allowed to) with that other side, then people can come to their own conclusions but with the little more info I can get away with saying.

No it was a genuine comment.
You cannot win irrespective of what you do it's a thankless task.
I could not do it but it's good that people step forward

I've been as critical as yourself re the direction the club is heading BUT I still don't know why the resignations have happened and I never will. You seem to have contacts who provide you with facts but there are other people closer to the club who are in an even better position to know the facts. If these resignations are completely down to Paul Casson no longer being able to provide the same finance to back the club then we just have to grin and bear it as he can't do much about it. If he is providing the same amount of finance then somebody is making a hell of a mess in the recruitment of players and their motivation. If the resignations are because of that lack of finance then again nothing can be done other than get a manager with the ability to bring in good players for very little cost and that is no easy task. If the resignation(s) are anything to do with financial fiddling to benefit staff or agents (which happens regularly in the football world e.g. Sam Allardyce!) then I'd fully support Paul Casson in removing the people concerned. As the majority of us don't know any of these things then all we can do is assess the state of the club without having enough background knowledge to know the real reasons why it is happening. As an aside, I did question a long time ago why Myles Anderson was brought to the club as the only reason I could see looking through his career history was that his father was an agent and also noted that when he was released he moved on to one of Paul Cox's other old clubs in Torquay as did Andy Howarth. I also now see that Andy Howarth having been released by Torquay seems to have turned up at Guisley. Nothing completely unusual about that as managers tend to bring in some of their old players but it is the sort of thing that gets me wondering.
