Re: Relegation Fight
The above post criticises someone for being " anti Casson" and "negative" then states that Cassons "Dynasty" is imploding and has been for a while.
Also hints that Cassons wanted here "largely because there is no one to follow him".
make up your mind.

Re: Relegation Fight
That Paul Cox actively looked for a bigger and better payday from really early on, despite all the warm words re building something. That in the summer him and Ogden weren't communicating. That the club has been poorly led and especially some of ACs media pronouncements were embarrassing. That Cox had the local media in his pocket. Its a cluster [SwearFilter] of epic proportions, with all to blame... but lets not deify Cox in this. Gies peace!Thelandlord wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 7:41 amWhat does that tell you about the situation at the club?barrowaberdeen wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 7:41 am The only person who was desperate for Paul Cox to leave from Autumn 2016 onwards was Paul Cox.

Re: Relegation Fight
Pretty fair summary. I wouldn't worry too much about appointing a manager who has been sacked from a relegated club as it probably happens to most managers sooner or later. Few go on for ever unless called Wenger. (I am not advocating appointing Mills, by the way).Patrickblake326 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 8:36 am I do not normally comment on here but reading through it and looking at what everyone is saying. Let’s go back to when Casson arrived first season, we did what we had to do to gain promotion. Brilliant, good season. We then stabaliesed the following season, good season. We then progressed and finished 7th last year a good season. So we have had 3 good seasons in my opinion and we have had 4 different managers.
I believe the Casson’s paniced after a couple of bad results early doors, now they are trying to learn from their mistakes this season but they can’t identify the mistakes they have made because of their lack of knowledge about football.
Now they are sinking fast and getting desperate, we have over 50 applicants and we will still appoint someone like Gary Mills who has just been sacked from a club for getting relegated.
I think we need to put the past behind us and move on. I am wading through loads of posts about who got us into this mess and whether Cox was to blame or not (I do believe he left us in the mire at a very inopportune time, but it is water under the bridge).
Many mistakes have been made, but it doesn't really help to keep raking over them. Hopefully, those who made them will learn from them. Let's get a manager appointed in the next week or two and move on.

Cox is a winner, he likes to win. He needed backing, he didn't get backed.barrowaberdeen wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 8:47 amThat Paul Cox actively looked for a bigger and better payday from really early on, despite all the NJwarm words re building something. What does that tell you about the situation at the club?
Hes been backed at Guiseley and they are flying now.
I suppose Cox is at fault for everything because it couldn't possibly be the "saviour" owners fault. hahaha Wake up lad
The problem is (and always has been) at the top.
Lets look at the positives though, this squad has no weaknesses and we have a 90 day action plan which is being drawn up by Mickey Moore and Paul Ogden who have a good working relationship and training is also better.

Probably cloae to a million pound playing budget and yes, 7th is not good enough! To keep wanting to buy your way through life is not good for any club! ! Your like a parrot and having nothing elsw to aay except repeatedly saying 7th isnt good enough! Its boring nowThelandlord wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 8:57 amCox is a winner, he likes to win. Its a good job then that Andrew Casson has told us of the increased budget for this season. Its working really well.

Flying? They've won once in the league since he went there and still sit in the relegation places.

To be fair communication is Improving but there are things that the club or any businesses could diverse for obvious reasons! Mainly surrounding confidentiality and employment laws..Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 8:30 amPedro has always been the same since he first started posting - anti establishment, anti Casson.olbarrafancumbak wrote: ↑Wed Oct 25, 2017 7:51 am
Lessons learned from casson I guess ia he wont sanction more money unless the new guy can show real intent and get team as it ia playing and also finding players who will fight fot club! Ita been a real atrange season to date but injuries and luck have played a part! Mm was a bad choice but he probably sold himself well in interview? There ia no desire from pc to have ua relegated! Now put your efforts into helping the cauae, its back to the walls time and we need people behind the team not shit stirring and causing unrest... However, if I am proved otherwise about your theories, I will happily oown a shop front, call it woolworths and gladly shoq my bottom for a day![]()
He’d rather be proved right about his own divisive theories (see above - “shit stirring and causing unrest” [trying to] ), than see Barrow do well. Relentless negative posting of a bizarre kind. No loyalty as far as I can see.
It’s been a soap opera so far this season, but sadly it’s real. Maybe even pantomime rather than soap opera. There can be no public enquiries with Barrow and the situation that has arisen. We are reliant on the integrity and openness of those in the know to pass on information. The lack of information feeds speculation, particularly on here. To my eye things seemed to start imploding when Simpson left without explanation. Amongst other things we’ve lost a physio, two managers, 3 top players (understanadable) a “director of football”, a couple of directors and above all we are in danger of being bottom of the league by 5pm on Saturday. As I see it as proper supporters (not Pedro/Azalea types) we are currently over a barrel. No one wants Casson out, largely because there is no one to follow him in. We want more transparency, but we won’t get it because sadly the dynasty have demonstrated that that is not what they are about. Nothing particularly unusual about that, but could have hoped for it at a small club, and it would have fostered great relations between the owners and the fans.
Over our barrel, we can hope for some messiah like manager to be appointed and galvanise the existing squad to perform above themselves. We can hope for a handful of good players to arrive. For my part I don’t want much - firstly complete commitment from every player selected to play, and secondly, appropriate integrity and openness from the administration.

Re: Relegation Fight
Paul cox spent £100k on loan signings and inih effiong from january last year.
The guy didnt want to be here and used barrow as a means of building his own name. Look at how he left mansfield, exactly the same way as how he left barrow.
He will do the same with guiseley too mark my words.
Biggest game of our lives against rochdale FA Cup 3rd round.
Where was Paul Cox the Friday before it? In Nottingham trying his hardest to get the Notts County managers job.
The whole situation in the summer with hartlepool came because cox's agent told hartlepool all they have to do is agree terms and cox will go for free.
Yes the club have made mistakes
But you seriously have your head in the sand if you are painting paul cox out to be the messiah in all of this

The budget is up from last season, AC said that at the meet the son night. So if more money will be available when a new manager is in place then the budget will go even higher won't it?
