Jim, that's the case as I understand it. There's a meeting sheduled for June to discuss finally allowing artificial surfaces into the league again. But as far as I'm aware if it's approved which I very much doubt, then it won't happen until the 2019/20 season.

Amber SUFC - with Byron in your side you may achieve promotion to the FL. You'll be there before we are, anyway!
According to an article in today's Times, if Sutton go up they will be required to replace their pitch with a grass one, cost about half million, and if they refuse they will be relegated 2 divisions. When I read it, I had to check the date as I thought it must be April 1st, but that seems to be the case.
I'm sure they will cope. Nice big pay cheque for promotion plus football league grants. But a 2 league demotion sounds a bit excessive for declining.

Does it? The 3G clubs knew the rules when they decided to install their pitches, therefore the constant whining about it now is a bit of a [SwearFilter] take.

Its absolutely the correct rule. For a club to be unable to take up promotion reflects badly on the integrity and professionalism of the entire league, so there needs to be a consequence for any club that does it. I doubt either Sutton or Bromley will actually go up anyway and Maidstone certainly won't, but if they do then the additional revenue that being a football league club brings will more than cover the cost of sorting the pitch out.

I didn't think his attitude had gone bad, he was just one of them players that seemed to stroll around but still produced the goods (Kenny Lowe always used to be slated for being "lazy") This season for whatever reason it just hasn't clicked, shame we couldn't find a way to get the best out of him....our loss, Suttons gain in my opinion.

The best of luck to him in the future.
Attitude was shocking,he couldn’t be arsed to run for anything this season, natural goal scorer but natural bad apple I reckon,Adi is weeding them out for sure.

seemed to lose interest i guess when we sold our best players end of last season.shame really. class player.
Can you blame him? Especially when we didn't sign any quality to replace those we lost. He needs good service to score - he received very little this season.

Thanks for the memories, Byron (especially the two goals at Bristol Rovers) and good luck!

We've no money (so I've heard) and are/have been relying on loanees this campaign.
We're what you would call a sinking ship...or submarine :D
We were talking about promotion last season. This season? We'll be lucky to stay up!
You do talk some [SwearFilter] at times. If he was anywhere near as good as you make out, bigger clubs than sutton would have been after him,hes moody and lazy.

He was the best footballer at the club.

Yeah, but you said that about Liam Hughes.

Blatant lie. Byron Harrison was here at the same time as Hughes. Byron was the best footballer at the club. I've never claimed Hughes was superior to him.

Definitely replaceable. Had a great season of of him though.

Some classic examples of he doesn't run around like a [SwearFilter] so he is lazy and spineless on this thread.

Only a joke, jesus. But neither were "the best footballer at the club" (whatever that means). To be the best footballer, you have to be the best player, and right now there are at least four who are much better than Harrison - Luke James, Calum Macdonald, Dan Jones and Bedsente Gomis. My opinion only.

By best footballer, I mean footballing / technical ability. So for instance, out of the four mentioned, I'd probably say Dan Jones edges it. But there's no doubting Byron was the best footballer at the club.
Your opinion is, however, respected.

Byron Harrison December 2016 was, however, in a different league - technically and as an all-round player - to Byron Harrison February 2018. He was barely even mobile whenever he emerged from the bench.
