You just can't release contracted players a former member of this forum.....you know that.
He signed most of our players on big money paying large signing on fees in the process. He leaves in August. What do you do....release all your contracted players and sign again...
Give over
No you can’t but you can transfer or loan them. Hence Yussuf to Solihull, Hughes to Guiseley.

How do you know the wages the players are on and how much the signing fees were? Care to share that info with us or are you just guessing?
You know aswell as your mate who has just been on here will of told you....

How much did these “large signing on fees” come to?

I don’t need to if you know.
Youve told us there were “large signing on fees” and “big money” wages. How much were they if you know?

If they were on ‘big money’ as you say then ,bar moore why have they all been replaced with youth loans?
Well let's start with Harrison - part of his unrest was that he spent much of last season waiting for his cut of the signing on fee. Who's next? Harvey and Hughes wanted to move on because they're part of Cox's little pool linked to one management group and were guaranteed an easy ride elsewhere. Yussuff? He was on big enough money for Pennock to baulk at the prospect of extending his contract.
Why did Moore leave? Pennock had his keeper in mind, and moved him down the pecking order.

Why were they replaced by 'youth loans'? (a youth loan is a different thing, but you mean promising young players from teams higher up the pyramid).

Have any of them been replaced by youngsters?
Harrison - not replaced yet
Yussuff - Luke James (not a youth player)
Moore - Arnold (not a youth player)
Harvey - Kingsley James (not a youth player)
Hughes - Humphrey (not a youth player)

Now do us all a favour, and [SwearFilter] off back to fawning over the tedious Fylde project.

Same old spinning from the usual suspects, creating a narrative based on something that isn't neccessarily true and then posting to death about it off duplicate accounts, get tae.

Now this is the best reply of the year.
Back in your hole a former member of this forum.
Don’t know why you are even bothered about your local club so much. Or is it that A team near Ulverston are so crap you have to deflect your own misgivings

It’s like Groundhog Day with this topic. We won’t know if the Cassons genuinely have any ambition to make Barrow successful again until we see the calibre of signings Pennock is allowed to bring in this summer

So you are saying for "much of last season" he was owed money? Interesting.

If true, is that not agent related?

Off the top of my head, Bankrolled clubs and relegation.

Colne Dynamoes ( White had money and sites set on league. Went out of existence 1990, but since re formed)

Rushden and Diamonds ( reached the league under Max Griggs money. Relegated, liquidated and since re formed)

Darlington. ( Bankrolled a new stadium and aiming for Championship. Relegated, liquidated and since re formed)

Must be others ??

Never really understood this bankrolled malarky. Most clubs are bankrolled to a certain degree, the ethos of football changed many moons ago we were just late and probably very lucky to join the party when we did.

Always liked Kettering and they backed us when League thought we would get relegated after the Vaughan debacle but we stayed up by the skin of our teeth and then they relegated us.
Also remember Workington saying we should be relegated two leagues lower so may live in Cumbria but still a Lancastrian at heart!
Really found that hard to forget from the marras up the coast.
