Arnold-Needed to be braver for the first goal and waved the second one past him.

Right under my nose the first goal, I thought both the keeper and attacker were both brave in their commitment for the ball. Arnold may of been a little late in his first reaction but was totally committed when he did react for the ball and unlucky to see it squirm out of his control
The second goal was a nightmare by Arnold and I am sure he would be the first to acknowledge it was a misjudgement.

A decent forty odd minutes were all undone by their equaliser, having said that, they were beginning to get on top but I was just hoping we could last out till HT......
That early goal in the second half just finished us off - which was disappointing as there was still a large part of the game to play. The rest of the game just seemed to swallow all time, space & meaning.

Feel sorry for James as he cannot do it all on his own.

I wish I'd recorded what I heard as I left the ground last night so AP could play it to the players. A Hartlepool supporter said to his mates “they were shit"....sums it up really.

Just braved watching their second on BT again........wowsers. It’s hit n hope at best and Arnold couldn’t have tried to avoid saving it anymore than he did, awful awful goalkeeping he looked scared he might brush his back side against a post so just left it. Shocking shocking goal keeping error which could be massively costly ffs.

It’s only a game of football I suppose and something we have sadly got used to at the FBSS. It must have been painful for the owner to watch that last night having ploughed so much cash into the club.

He has been let down by one or two individuals but I think the root cause of our current plight has been letting inexperienced amateurs run a professional business. I think there is maybe one last throw of the dice for Paul but he absolutely must get the right people in the right positions this summer or we will all have to face the catastrophic consequences of his mission failure.

Never mind the second goal, the whole thing was car crash TV. I don't think there was a lack of effort, just a bunch of players who were too anxious and short of confidence - plus, in several cases, not good enough. Terrible error by Arnold for the second goal, really picked a bad moment to make an error as he is normally quite reliable. I have to agree that Holt does not bring anything to the team, it rather proves the error of being too sentimental about former players.

As Ady said, losing wouldn't mean we will be relegated, but it was the manner of the performance that was so alarming. I am just clinging to the hope that we can grind out a few results between now and the end of the season. I think it now boils down to getting more points than Solihull.

Setting up at home against a team that is happy with a point imo isn't acceptable even if we were unchanged from the win at the weekend. I think we will just have enough to stay up but its not gonna be pretty to watch. McDonald and L.James are the only ones imo that deserve some credit but by god Asa hall offers nothing.

Glad I stayed at home and watched on the telly until the second goal went in, then at least I could turn it off. I’ve got a season ticket so they already have my money, I don’t have to go and watch that shite. Worst Barrow team since Bayliss and Wilson era. I see Paul Casson was there, I hope he’s satisfied at what a pile of crap he has presided over.

Seems to want to run things his way. Acts as a Director on the field - tries to give 'advice' but comes across as dictating, and he does very little actual playing football.

I was almost ashamed of myself for thinking, on the way back to the car, “after that, I won’t bother going to the Dover game”. It’s no wonder to me that the gates are down.
This morning, I’m not ashamed at all (and I will go on Saturday), but it’s tough being a Barrow supporter at the moment. The team were very poor, in a crucial game.
The players don’t seem to be strong or skilful enough to play to a particular style. I really don’t know how they try to play, and what they are trying to do. It’s hit and hope, and very often the only strategy seems to be reliant on the opposition making mistakes. The Jones long throw is the only effective and consistent attacking option.
Hartlepool weren’t good by any means, but they were slightly less rubbish than we were, and their goals came from us making vital mistakes, rather than good play.
It’s going to be more than tense up until the end of next month.

Don't know what to expect on saturday, but I believe we have enough to stay up. If we do stay up we will definately be relegation fodder next season unless the squad is improved.

Rumour has it that 500 Barrow AFC supporters made a mass suicide attempt last night after the match by jumping head first into the Ormsgill reservoir. The other 500 attended the Furness General Hospital mental health unit for depression and insanity. (But most of us will be back on Saturday - keep taking the tablets).
