Difficult to tell from a single frame of a challenge, guess the video will show more, wouldn't be a massive loss, but with KJ unlikely to be involved, it leaves us a bit thin in numbers, especially if Nathan W isn't fit

Re: Aldershot Town (A) 21/4/18
It would seem odd to suggest that because Chester are relegated, managerless and are shipping their squad out then this must mean they will play with pride, gusto and above themselves when at the same time Dover who will have to take three points to stand a chance of the play-offs will wilt at the prospect of going to Woking. But then again football is a funny old game. I agree with those therefore who say that if we dont survive it will be because we wont have the right stuff on the day. The odds are in our favour but who knows what that will mean.Bingo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 22, 2018 10:09 am If we can't beat a side that has shipped out all of its senior players then we don't deserve to stay up by all accounts we have played ok last few games - we will get a point at Bromley and beat chester.. We won't need to anyway because Woking won't beat Dover
Had we not taken a point yesterday I think the odds would've been much worse, terminal even. Aldershot again proved a place that we somehow seem to raise our game in. Whilst the equaliser was as usual gut wrenching the point was still invaluable and despite being really dominated in terms of possession and attacking play for long periods Aldershot showed that in front of goal they may not have the quality or end product to go up. We played a really clever game and if they can reproduce that on Saturday would win I think with a bit to spare.
If I were Casson I'd let everyone in for free. Yesterday again showed the players respond to the support. For Christ sake dont let this turn into a moody HS afternoon. And despite BarrowAberdeens lament about the curse of HS, if he is as magnificent on Saturday as he was yesterday I'm sure he alone with carry them across the line.

Just been on the Official site. Massive support from Aldershot fans for the away support. Great that supporters from another club give others supporters the BIG THUMBS UP. Well done our away fans [119 very impressive]. Roll on Bromley then Chester and finish the job off.

Is it safe to assume that BT Sport won't choose at this late stage to show it as it's a crucial game? That would really put the mockers on thingsSuffolk Blue wrote: ↑Sun Apr 22, 2018 11:38 am

Doubt it Jim. TV tends to be more interested in Winners rather than Losers. Might have been different if Chester were the other candidate for relegation rather than Woking but that horse has already bolted. I'm sure they'll rely upon the VT provided from both Woking & Barrow and put whatever spin they want on the highlights. If they are doing a live game next week my bet would be Sutton (3rd) V Aldershot (4th).Jim wrote: ↑Sun Apr 22, 2018 11:50 amIs it safe to assume that BT Sport won't choose at this late stage to show it as it's a crucial game? Actually I've just checked and apparently the live BT game next week is Gateshead V Orient! Must've been chosen a little while ago I guess. No doubt we'll all be glued to that one.

I know everyone thinks I never watch any of the game but just a wee word about Diarra. A colossus, much more like the 16-17 version. And Diagne was OK! On to Bromley where I think we will get something, based on no evidence whatsover as we play as terribly there as we play well at Aldershot, who are pretty but too toothless to go up.
Ah! and massive respect to the very young long blond haired lad, very young there with Dad, who absolutely sang his heart out all game.

Should be massively advertised around the town - just like the rugby do. They had massive posters attached across lamp posts on the main routes in & out of town for their latest match. Why can't we do the same ???

I thought he was caught out of position too many time in the first half. All of their threat was coming down the right hand side and he was no where to be seen on a couple of those occasions. He looked more comfortable in the 2nd half.

That sending off was absolutely ridiculous. Couldn't really see it from where I was stood but it should be appealed not that it matters now. We could have easily held on for the win if it wasn't for that decision.saltcellar wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:23 am https://youtu.be/m8WKtV8LhWA

If anything it should have been a red for the Aldershot player who stamped on BauressMark Johnson wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:52 amThat sending off was absolutely ridiculous. Yes, not saying their player should have been sent of as it wasn't a purposeful 'stamp' but if anything the free kick should have gone our way and maybe their lad booked. It's a fast paced game and sometimes players come together and get hurt. Referees are getting worse by the yearchipmunx wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 9:38 amIf anything it should have been a red for the Aldershot player who stamped on BauressMark Johnson wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:52 am

Yes that's a good point. We've been weak down that side for some time - probably since Dunne left. Diagne I think is more used to playing in Central Defence. Shows how little faith the manager has in BartramMark Johnson wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:45 amI thought he was caught out of position too many time in the first half. Re: Aldershot Town (A) 21/4/18
Bauress definitely won the ball before impact, but could it still be considered dangerous/reckless challenge as his foot was high? If so, action that endangers an opponent is a red card offence.
On the other hand, there is a pdf document online that gives guidance on the laws that distinguishes between careless (no action), reckless (caution) and excessive force (sending off). IMO that challenge was either careless, or at worst reckless. I hope the club appeals.
