He didn’t sign them, the man who always wants a £3m budget did.
Wonder if Paul Ogden left because he wasn’t being taken notice of...
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Don't think it matters!!
like him or hate him, somebody will be along soon (very) to slag him off.
They're good at that on here, just watch!

So is he going to be making signings before the new manager takes over?

Someone needs to install a revolving door at the main entrance to HS.

Given the renewed commitment to the development of local and North-West based players and a restricted budget this (re?)-appointment sort of makes sense as long as the relationship is both genuine and can be salvaged. It may well be that the poor quality of signings made at the beginning of last season were not the product of his choices. I'm not sure how he would have had close contact with the likes of Bartram, Gomis, Hall or Jordan White, but then who would have had such contacts in the club if not him?

If we accept the appointment as positive however, it does yet again show what a basket case the club were at the time of Cox's departure. Nothing to do with a lack of command and control at the top of course though I'm sure.

My gut tells me that his brief will be to initially present the new manager with a list of targets when said manager is appointed.

We all moan when AC takes no.advice. Ogden at least knows North West football. Its bizarrely Barrowesque, but even so

Fingers crossed he finds us another Bennett and Jordan Williams amongst others.

Hopefully Ogden and the new manager have some freedom to choose players without to much interference from football amateurs.

If Ogden wasn’t happy last time he would not be back again. I think he is someone else that was hoodwinked by the initial bad apple

Official statement from the club declared Ogden responsible for the squad with no weaknesses.

If as you seem to suggest all the signings were Cox's doing what the hell was Ogden doing? Picking up an easy pay cheque each week doing [SwearFilter] all?

Let's hope he has a Jordan Williams season and not a Bradley bauress one.

Was he? Does anybody really know who brought in all the rubbish last season? There were so many changes that I don't believe anybody knows who did what at the club!
