Agreed. I've just looked at the betting odds for next season and the only odds I can find at the moment are for promotion. Much to my amazement there are 11 clubs with equal or higher odds than us to win the league! That was with William Hill but a further check shows that most of the other firms are being more realistic with only a couple of clubs at higher odds than us!!Salthouse Bridge wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 9:06 am He won't be the saviour that's for sure whoever it is personally I think Barrow will finish bottom of the league next season but that's just my opinion

Careful Wintergreen. We do not want to encourage any rumours of a second coming. Personally I dont want Mickey Moore back.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 7:04 am It is written.

Re: New Manager
Is he not still on the books and being paid by the club - almost 2 years left on his contract?

Re: New Manager
We would have had to pay his contract in full if we had sacked him. The gardening leave situation means we pay his weekly wage until he gets a paid role elsewhere. It was the same with Edmo. Once he was offered the role at BPA the club and Edmo came to an agreement that suited both parties. Rolling 1 year contracts are IMO the best option for clubs at Barrows level.

‘Due diligence’ should of been conducted before hiring him.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Mon Jun 11, 2018 6:18 pmWe would have had to pay his contract in full if we had sacked him. Re: New Manager
He'll be our 'Sam Allardyce'. No [SwearFilter] wanted him, everyone knew it would be a disaster, people said as much to the owners, and then we end up paying a load to get him out of the way.

Lots of smoke and mirrors so far, but still no sign of white smoke.

Just burning cables

Re: New Manager
Probably just throw a team together after a few pre season friendlies and use the "need time to gel" excuse when we are at the foot of the table after 5 games
