Verti draining. I think it’s spikes being pushed into the pitch then filled with sand. There’ll be more to it than that but that’s how it looks to me

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Photos of ground developments

Is the area that has been levelled to remain level? I hear it will give more disabled access which is to be applauded but it is quite a big area of terracing to have lost? I don't see any drains going into the groundwork so I'm assuming there won't be a toilet block or other facilities?

Re: Photos of ground developments
How many people on average per game stood on that bit of terracing? Won’t be so many

Re: Photos of ground developments
I was thinking more about whether it will affect the overall ground capacity. I appreciate there were not any crush barriers in that area and so the numbers allowed will not have been huge but there were reasonable numbers there for the Hartlepool game and with the cage removed from behind the goal the freedom to move there will be easier. Sods law says if we reduce the capacity of the ground then a good cup draw will follow or more likely we will be a top three side all season and our crowd average will double!

Re: Photos of ground developments
The cage has been removed but an extendable tunnel is going in its place, there will also be a barrier either side so no one will be able to get too close to the tunnel. Basically that will be the same as before but much better looking.
We’ve lost the terracing on the West Terrace but gained about ten foot for the length of that area by moving the pitch perimeter wall (or rail) closer to the pitch...in line with the main stand.

Re: Photos of ground developments
Ian, can you take a brick by brick photo of the wall going up and then make it in to a montage? Thanks
Re: Photos of ground developments
?????
And while he's at it, I suppose he could get his band together and produce a single to celebrate the process?
Trouble is, if it's THAT single then it's going to be a cover version and we don't do cover versions, whether it's at the Holker End or this new old West Terrace corner. Whichever way you look at it we will be in trouble with waters.
Re: Photos of ground developments
oh dear, i was joking mate. Do you really really honestly think i want a brick by brick photo album?
