THE NORTHERN WAY
Re: Photos of ground developments
Went up to ground this morning to see what’s been happening. Absolutely brilliant the work that has been ongoing. Full credit to everyone who has worked tirelessly to make all these changes. Very very impressed. Hospitality suites views out onto the pitch are great, with the TVs going up on to the walls today, these rooms are very close to completion now. Will be a great place to take in a match with your mates. The excellent function room in the main Crossbar (which seems bigger now), very tasteful decor and new seating, with the John Duffin Holker Street art setting things very tastefully. Downstairs was a hive of activity, with the change rooms receiving a makeover, with the old tiles making way for some nice modern panelling, The managers office, officials changerooms and the phsysio room, all being worked on. Some won’t see these changes but they are brilliant and cannot thank all those who have been working hard to make this happen. Well done all!
With the plans going in for the fanzone next to the Crossbar, we are now getting that facility that should attract new and old to make more of what is on offer at the club, let’s get that place a hive of activity on match day.
Just a massive sense of positivity surrounding the club, and every week we are seeing new sponsors getting on board, and with acts like “Soul survivors” pencilled in (saw these at the Nines a few years back- A brilliant live band who should have the place rammed) We are stepping up a notch or two here.

The plans look really good! Although it's a little worrying that as part of the application they are asking to put windows in the corporate rooms which they've already fitted!lolTony wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2019 9:38 amhttps://webapps.barrowbc.gov.uk/webapps ... 267332::NO:::

Re: Photos of ground developments
A couple from earlier today.
The second run of concrete going into the old west terrace & the players tunnel signage going up. It’s a bit hard to get a really good idea of what it looks like...but it’s better than the picture shows.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Christ i wouldnt want to go flying into a concrete based billboard if i was a player! Ouch!!
Re: Photos of ground developments
Can’t be any worse than the concrete wall that was there previously. Besides it’s tapered to avoid blast impact. So player impact should be just fine.Thenotorious wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 2:19 pm Christ i wouldnt want to go flying into a concrete based billboard if i was a player! Ouch!!

No different to the walls. It's quite far from the pitch that side tooThenotorious wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 2:19 pm Christ i wouldnt want to go flying into a concrete based billboard if i was a player! Ouch!!
Re: Photos of ground developments
Are these barriers/wall the final structure , or is it just temporary in time for first friendly. There were plans talked about for new perimeter fencing in that corner of the ground - mind you, it was under the "old regime".spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2019 1:39 pm The concrete barriers/wall on the old West terrace pitch perimeter from a few hours ago.

The helmand province end

Re: Photos of ground developments
If you buy a pre booked ticket and stand in the middle of that would you have a central reservation?
Re: Photos of ground developments
you could get reef Scott st to sponsor it and we would have the Great Barrier Reef
Seriously on the plus side... the floodlight can now fold down.., you can rest a coffee on the top and they must be easier to drill for sponsors rather than those old granite walls which even burned hiltis out
