I've noticed there's also a small " Next Match" board on the railings near the Supporters club - which is next to the old training ground, this never seems to get updated unlike the one at the Holker Street end of the ground. I was wondering why ? as I'd imagine more people would see that one because everyone who now comes into Barrow uses that road - The road that takes you past Bowater Scott's/ Asda.
On the subject of old training ground - the pitch next to Holker Street - am I right in thinking the club bought it back during the Casson era and were at one time thinking of making it an astro turf facility. Presuming if the club do own it they also own the small car park area behind one of the goals. I also seem to recall Paul Casson saying the club owned a lot of space around the ground presuming he was referring to this area.

One other thing when I was a kid, late sixties, the club had a flagpole. When was that taken down ? I always thought a Barrow flag flying on match day looked impressive.

-> Board on the main road is broken
-> Wallmart still own the land and would have done under any development plans with a lease to Barrow BC. Barrow AFC would have just administered the rental of the pitch.

Do the club email these posters to everyone/businesses that sponsors the club, in both parties interests that they do.

Poster looks great. That was sent to me by Russ Rawley yesterday and it’s been sent around the yard, it should be up on most notice boards by tomorrow.

Regarding the next game board on the soccer bar railings, Graphix signs produced it and we put it up a few years back, I’ll have a look on Sunday morning to see what’s wrong with it.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
