Ah. Wasn't terrible at all. Average a decent reserve for a non league team. Very very very few goalkeepers in the national league are both footed and are good with the ball. Playing at this level for a reason but to call his performance terrible is unfair. Makeshift defence in front of him and he's hardly played a game in a while.

He made some good saves. Only his second game of the season bare in mind.

Looks no worse than 2nd choice keepers we've had in the past.

As also mentioned on the thread, its a nightmare to travel to Barrow from outside the area. We naturally will gain more of a following but not masses.

I would say that it's not that bad to get to Barrow. No more so than a number of North eastern,south eastern and East Anglian clubs. I have done a 400 mile round day trip in the past . In 2016 I watched a Tuesday night bore draw with Borehamwood and drove the 200 miles home straight afterwards. I was back home by 12:35am

Kendal is a 34 mile drive on a mostly decent road; Workington, admittedly, is further and the A595 is little better than a country lane in places but there is a train every hour or thereabouts (although not back after a night game). So anyone wanting to get to Holker Street from these places could do so easily.

True, we won't get masses coming, but a couple of dozen or so from each would boost the numbers. And if we get into the League and continue playing attractive, winning football these numbers should increase.

I can remember going to Kendal on the evening that Barrow were kicked out of the League in 1972; a number of people there were just as gutted at us losing our status as anyone in Barrow. The latent support is there; we just need to tap into it.
