Re: Decisions being made
It is on the BBC sports page.
Re: Decisions being made
The National League themselves haven't issued any further updates today. Below is their comms sent out yesterday. All the confusion today is coming from these news sites running with headlines which compound the confusion, a lot of which is coming from chairmen of some clubs who are determined to play out the remainder of games. How?? They need to realise the season is over.
“The National League attended a further meeting last night (by video conference) with The Football Association, and The FA have been asked to assist us with making the decisions to officially postpone all remaining National League fixtures and to end the season as soon as possible for the purposes of player contracts.
“The National League is also working with the FA to define all reasonable and practical options for the determination of the 2019/20 season, and to provide guidance to Clubs on dealing with player contracts, player registrations and the application of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.
“We will continue to press for updates and will ensure that any further information is relayed to Clubs as soon as it is received.
“The League is very aware that Clubs are looking for answers and greater certainty, and we remain focused on delivering these in the most timely manner possible.”

"To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

Re: Decisions being made
No decision on National League Premier, North or South yet but it’s just been announced the divisions below have been finished, results expunged and there will be no promotion or relegation.......

Re: Decisions being made
That is a massive twist on what I believe Evatt said.

Re: Decisions being made
I believe that the Barrow stance is to call and end to the season now' and NOT play out the remaining games and that the table positioning stays as it it is now or on PPG should be used to determine the promotion and play off positions. This article, along with others, implies that Ian Evatt wants at some point to resume playing. I don't believe that is the case.

Re: Decisions being made
This follows from yesterdays comments and shows that the NL is really in no position to distance itself from the EFL. Any decisions the EFL make would affect the NL whatever decision it chose to make about the season.
The problem is of course that even if the League does recommence - and I'm not sure it will - many of the teams will be damaged financially and the dynamics of the division as of March will be quite different. But our promotion hopes are still in tact.

Re: Decisions being made
Just for the record. Ian Evatt’s view is clearly to finish the season now as some teams had only 7 games to play and as such, the table should stands as it is (or adjusted to PPG). See below.

Clearly some media sources are implying that Evo wants the season played out on the pitch, (whenever that may be) when Evo has clearly recognised that this is not feasible, or possible given the coronavirus crisis and players contracts. Some circles still adamant that National League football will just pick up again at some point to nicely finish this off. Most clubs don't have the resources or finances to just do that like the Prem or EFL. It’s over.
