Jimmy Caldwell. Last time l saw him was working at the British Gas Onshore Terminal in the late 80s. He was an Engineer with them and travelled quite extensively for them. Possibly retired now.Cubbins Paratrooper wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 1:29 pmThe lad leading out the team was a ball-boy and used to carry 'Zigger' out to the centre-circle. He later became a boot boy. I wonder where he is these days?

I can remember season after season going in there and red leading the baths and ‘trying’ to tidy up under the stand.

Can l ask, were you working for Vickers at that time and dropped off at Holker St in a working party from the yard?

Nah, Gary, what would I be wanting with infection? I reckon if the germs from those tiles clubbed together they'd soon chase Corona out of town. On the other hand, I'm glad I salvaged all the pieces from one of the floodlight pylons that came down two or three years back . . . I'm just waiting for planning permission (and a break in my busy life) so that I can get the pylon reconstructed at the back of the house.Wintergreen wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 2:52 pm Imagine how many legendary arses have graced those tiles. Hi Gary, no I wasn’t it was a small party of us doing different jobs around the ground and going from memory, which isn’t good at my age, I would have been around 16?

Okay bud thanks for the reply. Back in the day you heard a lot about Vickers supplying men (on the QT) to both the soccer and rugby for maintenance purposes. I worked on maintenance in there as a younger man for a bit but never met anyone going there. Mainly Painters though l think as everything did seem to have been painted when the gates opened for the first game of the season.

These are ever so slight changes which will have little/no impact on my matchday experience.
Go to the pub to meet my pals pre-game. Pre-match pint in the XBar. Watch the game. Go home.

Is restricted movement a rule in the league?
If we do that then arguably you will have different prices for each stand etc

No Mike I think movement between different areas will not be allowed. Pick your area wisely.
One of the many changes we will all have to adapt to.
