We don't need to name every stand after a player or manager. Can we just leave it as HSE and let someone sponsor it if they want to.

Not for me
Re: The Colin Cowperthwaite Stand
Yep agree with this. Ray Wilkie Popular Side and the Brian Arrowsmith Main Stand - very fitting, but would always be the Holker “Street” End for me.JammyBluebird wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 5:34 pm We don't need to name every stand after a player or manager. "To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Knowing God he’d probably rather have the new bar named after him anyway........

Re: The Colin Cowperthwaite Stand
There's your solution for the new fanzone. Take in Wintergreen's suggestion and get the man himself along, if willing, to open the new bar.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 6:58 pmThat’s the worst idea on this threadSuffolk Blue wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2020 6:46 pm How about the Holker Street End sponsored by Friends of the Colin Cowperthwaite Stand. Re: The Colin Cowperthwaite Stand
Holker End is what I always remember people calling it when I first started going as a kid in the late 80s and then through into the 90s. It's what I call it now.
It does seem to more commonly be called the Holker Street End these days though. I'm unsure when that started.
Re: The Colin Cowperthwaite Stand
'Holker End' never sounds right to me. Always thought of it as the 'Holker Street End'.
