1 year left on contract.
Massively inconsistent under different managers.
Same agent as Evatt.
Didn't want to play in League 2.

Want to cash in on players like that when their stock is high.

If other clubs and players know we have money in the bank they will put up wage demands and ask for higher fees. FFS simples undisclosed fee

If we've got 75k for him then it's good business in my view.

He had an exceptional season last season no doubt, but it was just that, exceptional. He's mostly flattered to deceive for the rest of his career (which is also what he did in his first season with us) and has flopped around the National League not doing a great deal.

Without Evatt, I think there would have been little to no chance of seeing the same player next season.

As others have said, money (i.e. length of contract) is everything to a player at his age. Bit of a shame but we move on. Looking forward to seeing who we bring in.

Move on! The 2 outstanding players in the team last season were Rooney and Quigley. Rooney has now gone and let's hope James is not the non-scoring replacement for Quigley because nothing is more certain that a few clubs will want him!

Yes, move on! Unless you're on a wind up you're being incredibly melodramatic. Footballers move, John Rooney more than most. It's far from a disaster that he's gone, and a good deal for the club for a player who by the sounds of it didn't fancy it next season anyway.

I'd be amazed if he has the same sort of season next season as last, and that would've applied whatever shirt he was wearing.

Dont know if your just on a wind up.
Check out quigleys record before he came to us. He could have also been described non scoring.

He leaves with my thanks for the contributions for a memorable season.

Good business to get a substantial fee if he didn't want to be here.
Popular side since '03.

We are doomed
What choice have we got other than to move on and get better players that want to be here....the owners are spending a million pounds on the ground..we have a new manager lots of new players and everyone preparing for league football can we save the doom and gloom
