There's a clause in his contract stating that we can get rid in the summer for no compensation. So we could just put him on gardening leave until then.NB Bluebird wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 4:48 pmI agree but who is going to pay his compensation. Let's have a whip round

second half slightly better but we have not enough quality forwards still seething over that equaliser what was Donahue doing ? you can't keep moving players around like we did it's unbelievable!

He's got to go now and leave Kelly in temporary charge until we can find someone who actually knows what to do. Kelly stated last time that he didn't want the job of manager.
Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
Well, I am sorry, I try not to be defeatist but I have lost what little hope I had. That was awful. Experienced players making simple errors, no cohesion, largely clueless. Just for a second or two, I hoped that our equaliser might be the moment that turned our season round. Instead, an immdiate Morecambe goal has probably defined our season in another way, by dashing the last ray of hope. I can't see any way that this team can turn things round.
I don't like singling out players, but Donohue was worst of the bunch. So many careless mistakes and lazy passes. I didn't hear MoM, I hope Kay got it for all his effort.

Jolley's 7th game in charge. We must have changed shape about 20 times in those 7 games.
Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
There's no end of criticism that could be levelled but I'll just settle for one thing instead of a long list - - - the way we were still mentally doing a lap of honour after equalising while we stood and watched them immediately take the lead again. That's unprofessional and unforgivable.

Improved 2nd half. Scored a good goal and then capitulated 1 min later. Watch it back and see Donohue turn his back and make no attempt to block . I hoped the new lads would Keep us up. In the end they look like lead weights and will take us down even quicker. As for formation....st half was all over the place. 2nd was better. Devitt, Donohue, Banks look rubbish. Gutted. As for Morescum they looked decent going forward. However, if you keep giving the ball to them in your own half it makes it easier for them.
Stood behind Ray Wilkie for years. Best education I ever had.
Re: Barrow v Morecambe match thread
75 minutes to find a formation and that 20 second goal...... sealed that I won't be spending anymore this season, already thrown all I had but I can't stand by incompetentcy.

We can’t afford to sack Jolley nor should we as we need to maintain some credibility as a club. He was our last throw of the dice and it hasn’t worked unfortunately.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...
