Some interesting stats.

Since Rob Kelly took charge when Michael Jolly left the club, Barrow have won 6 of the 10 games.

In this period, the other bottom 5 sides, Grimsby, Southend,  Colchester,  Walsall and Mansfield have between them only managed 7 wins from a total of 52 matches.

Grimsby, Southend and Mansfield have 2 wins, Colchester 1 with Walsall no wins and only managing 5 draws, the lowest return of any of these clubs during this period.

Barrow have amassed 18 points, Grimsby 12, Southend 11, Mansfield 10, Colchester 7 and Walsall 5.

These stats give us further confidence that we will still be a football league club next season.

Sorry Salty don’t buy into all this stat malarkey as such! Win =3 points, Draw =1, lose = we go again! Happy keeping it simples like Rob Kelly does, control the controllable’s!👍

Agreed Mark, but it just shows how hard our rivals are finding wins to come by.

Key at this stage of the season is not how many games you lose, it's all about how many you win. Unbeaten runs with a load of draws are useless. Barrow hardly draw a game but they win a decent share which is what you need.

Here is the up to date picture at the bottom with the remaining games for all sides with maximum and minimum points

*apologies for the typo which I didn’t notice before creating the picture hadn’t changed Grimsby’s remaining games from 9-8

Good to see it like that.
Looking at Grimsby's run in I cant see them passing us if we lose the next 9 games

Could see both grimsby and southend getting nothing from their next 3/4 games. Then again, couldn't see us hitting form like we did so who knows.

Hopefully we will actually be able to watch them in EFL2 at Holker Street in August.

Can't wait.

We have -
Crawley - Winnable but not easy match
Grismby - for me a must win ! But don't lose !
Stevenage
Newport
Colchester - in free fall and we could be above them (even after Crawley game)
Carlise - playing as bad as Colchester atm!
Exeter - very tough match (top goal scorers)
Leyton orient
Port Vale
Im hoping we are safe by this stage of the season as we have Tranmere, Forest green, Exeter away and Southend at home !

Obviously 1 game at a time and we all hope a few teams around us keep dropping points.
Its gonna be a nervous few weeks but 6 points in these next 2 games would help !!!
8 points from the first 6 games here isn't a bad return. Obviously it could have been 11 if we hadn't conceded 2 poor penalties to drop points.
Exeter, Layton orient and Port vale to come in the next several days are so important. Exeter will be a tough match and stopping them from scoring will be difficult. I'd take 5 points from these 3 games and if those around us don't win 🤞 then even better !

After the Morecambe game when Jolley was sacked the table read as such.....

18) Mansfield: Played 28, 34 Points
19) Port Vale: Played 29, 33 Points
20) Colchester: Played 28, 33 Points
21) Stevenage: Played 30, 33 Points
22) Southend: Played 29, 24 Points
23) Barrow: Played 27, 23 Points
24) Grimsby: Played 27, 21 Points

A bit of a mention for Neil McDonald at Barrow and Phil Brown at Southend....in the same breath as Sam Allardyce at WBA in the Sunday Mirror today.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
