Ha no - it’s been a long time since I had any inside info - just saw that he had left Dundee Utd and he is the sort of experienced manager I would think the club needs at this time.

If it is Cooper he’s a solid enough choice, I’d be very surprised and disappointed if we were in the bottom 2 much next season with him in charge. He knows the league and how to recruit a squad, and to set a team up in this division

this isn't dragging - it's taking the required time to do it right. Paul Hornby said at the start of last week that they hoped to make an appointment by the end of this week. Friday this week we will be 14 days since Rob Kelly said he didn't want the job.
Which would you rather the club do take a few extra days and make a good choice - or rush things and get another Michael Jolley.

As a Swindon fan, I think Cooper would be probably be a good choice for you - has managed at this level for a number of years and will be familiar with the opposition and, especially the players available (although obvoiusly you still have to persuade them to sign).

The odds are practically meaningless though. The bookies wouldn't be taking much money on any mangerial appointment outside the Big Six in the PL, so even a couple of people whacking on a tenner each would get them thinking that someone's got some inside information and the odds come crashing down.

Yes, I think people who pay any heed to bookies' odds are the same gullible people from whom the bookies make their profits.
