Re: Follow England at the Fanzone
Got to admit the smoking and vaping thing at the tables is one of the things that keeps me away, as most non smokers find it petty repulsive, being trapped at a table doesnt really appeal, but everybody to their own, it's a free world.
Re: Follow England at the Fanzone
No one was smoking at the tables yesterday they went to the Asda side gate, it’s a decent venue, only qualm would be having some decent loud speakers rather than having the sound through the projector, but it depends where you sit I guess, as if your sat near the TV s rather than the big screen it’s alright. Credit to all the volunteers and the club for getting a decent venue up and running.

Speakers are usually fine, yesterday there was definitely a glitch in the matrix. Felt sorry for all those that had put countless hours in of their own time to make it happen! Technician on site today to address the situation so all should be hunky dory for Friday.Bombadel wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 12:01 pmNo one was smoking at the tables yesterday they went to the Asda side gate, it’s a decent venue, only qualm would be having some decent loud speakers rather than having the sound through the projector, but it depends where you sit I guess, as if your sat near the TV s rather than the big screen it’s alright. I’m no Capability Brown but some strategically placed scented rhododendrons will easily mask the smell of a relaxing half time exotic cigarette. Similarly, if you’re worried about jizzing yourself next season, a couple of Bradford Pear trees can stop you having to explain away the embarrassing smell of your messy pants.
Next week, convince the stewards you’re not rushing on pingers using your herbaceous boarder.

Re: Follow England at the Fanzone
My two girls and I enjoyed the fanzone last night despite the dire performance that dampened the atmosphere considerably.
Hats off to Steve and the other volunteers who worked tirelessly ensuring people were served and kept the place tidy - great team effort (Thank you).
Food stall was excellent with good quality food and the bar was well stocked with different beers etc.
There were a few technical glitches with the screens and audio but it didn’t ruin the experience and we certainly didn’t miss much …
Great mix of people, all ages etc which is good to see and people were so respectful of the tables and wore masks when appropriate - the girls said they felt safe and loved it.
Just needed a goal but then again how many times do we say that when at Holker St.
This place will be rocking come next season and is a brilliant addition to the ground.

Was at the Fanzone last night and despite a couple of brief technical hitches had a good night. Waiting staff very attentive and buzzing round the tables, good burgers, and not a bad atmosphere. Wets the appetite for the new season.
