Re: FA Cup R2 Draw
What about the anti-vaxxer who persuaded around 1000 people not to have the vaccine?
He caught Covid and died, and that's true, not a joke!
That's one death too many but I think it proves the point!

Simplicity of it all is if any of us want to go we adhere to their rules or stay at home.

I'd be surprised if any checking of passports has taken place. Its not worth the aggro for the stewards. Not to mention the time it would take.

The article refers to a study of contacts within the same household as an infected person. It suggests that an unvaccinated person in the same household has a more than 50% greater chance of becoming infected than a vaccinated person.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 5:48 pm There is not a lot of difference in a double jabbed persons chances of infecting another than an unvaxed infecting another. The only certainty is the vaccine helps greatly in reducing both hospitalisations and death. This IMO shows that covid passports are a complete waste of time. What about those that unvaxed have had covid and have antibodies?

It has nothing to say about 'COVID passports' (nor does The Lancet study) and I don't understand how you can draw any inference about them from it.

Has always just seemed to me that if you have the available vaccines, wear a mask when appropriate and are careful, thoughtful and responsible we won't have to have another lockdown here where we won't be allowed to go to footy matches. Look e.g. Holland, Germany and Austria. I know it's contentious on this forum, but as I see it it's not about "I'm ok", it's about "might I be a danger to someone else?". Really, really, what's the problem in providing a confirmation of inoculation, and wearing a mask at appropriate times?

I thought this was a football forum not a health forum. The advice is simple at Ipswich, make sure you fulfill their conditions to enter the ground. If you don,t want to don,t go and don,t complain.
Now let's get back to talking what this forum is about FOOTBALL.

Expert (government advisor)?
I'd like to know how this expert gov advisor conducted the research to obtain those findings?
The FIRST Covid 19 vaccines were distributed on December 8 2020. The second jabs could only be distributed after a minimum of 11-12 weeks after the first - that would be approximately in March of this year. Have YOU any idea how long it takes to conduct research? This expert gov advisor must be a miracle worker to conduct research and produce findings in such a short space of time. Or you're very gullible and naive to believe everything the gov tells you!
The key to preventing infection - any infection - is to look after your immune system. And that advice comes from a Doctor.
So, yeah; I do know better
Go ask your own - or google immune system - instead of quoting CRAP from so called 'Gov Experts'

Vaccinations don't stop anybody from becoming infected - or passing it on. They simply alleviate death. .
You have just destroyed your own argument.

Apologies. Allow me to elaborate.
I should have said Vaccinations don't stop anybody from becoming infected - or passing it on. They simply alleviate death
... with regard to 'vunerable people' - the elderly and those with respiratory problems. According to the Gov
Hmmm...then how come people who have been 'double jabbed' (under the age of 60 and with NO medical history of respiratory illness) have died in hospital from Covid 19? Go ask any Nurse or Doctor who works at Furness General Hospital. 'Nuff said.

Re: FA Cup R2 Draw
Topic going way off track
Re the FA Cup match - Ipswich have put in place rules for anyone attending. Either follow them if you want to attend the match or ignore them if you don't.
If you want to debate the rights and wrongs of vaccines in general or give your expert (or not) medical advise start a new topic on the 'off topic' forum.
Ill close this one and I assume someone will open another one shortly talking about the football issues connected with the Ipswich match which will be fine.

Some people really do need to think a bit more before they post things on here
