I thought he gave it because the linesman flagged, rightly or wrongly.
Watched it on the EFL show. Farman coming and not gathering the biggest issue as it felt at the time. I think Mansfield have a bigger issue about no goal line technology.

Still a good performance and result. Onwards and upwards.
Spot on about Farman he`s half hearted there if he comes and catches it even if he drops it the referee`s always protect the keeper, it`s his indecision which not only has cost us important goals this also has a knock on effect on the defence THEY need to have faith in him (he`s quite vocal at dishing order`s out ) I know he`s a good shot stopper BUT!

I thought he could’ve knocked it out when the Salford player kept it in but think he was trying to see it out for a goal kick rather than give a corner away. Was still unlucky Salford had about 4 strikers on at that point, we contained Smith most of the game well he’s a beast.

Would rather have a Salford goal than a pen + Brough red personally. Great point, shame we couldn't hang on for the win but we need to keep this intensity of play between now and last kick of the season and we'll be OK.

Oldham need 5 points from 3 games to overtake us, providing we lose all our games. Another win will in all likelihood be enough for us.

Think yesterday showed how confidence from the win on Friday gave us momentum.

Quite clear how we faded later on maybe down the poor training prior to the arrival of PB.

I said a draw before the game but in the last 10 minutes I worried we would loose it.

Thankfully we held on with effort.

These are the same players people including myself decride.
If we stay up bearing in mind the teams we have to play the Managers position needs to be sorted.

If PB I would give him a contract terms that states he is employed in blocks of 10 weeks and if targets are met he is paid a bonus.

If it's not PB which i assume the board have actually told him keep us up.the jobs yours, one Paul Simpson may not be staying at Carlisle .

If we win and they lose on Saturday - job's done.

said it all year about Farman, doesnt like coming off his line, clearly evident again yesterday. but when he did come off it was the wrong decision and that cost us the 2nd goal, not a patch on Dixon who's shot stopping and kicking, which seem to be farmans strengths were on a par

Manager wise, id rather move Phil Brown into a D.O.F role if we can afford it and put another manager under him. no disrespect to the BOD but we need someone with real knowledge of the football league in position within the club asap

It’s probably one for a separate topic this but my own thoughts are that Brown did the same at Southend (albeit they still went down but from a much more impossible position than us to be fair) where he went in and gave the club a real lift for a few games at the end of the season but couldn’t sustain it next year and ultimately had them facing relegation again from a league below if he’d continued in charge. He’s not done anything for 4/5 years to suggest he can be successful over the course of a season, just firefighting for a few games. I suspect it’s irrelevant because the board and plenty of fans have been seduced now and he will end up staying, my worry then is yet again come October will be paying off a managers 2/3 year deal and scrambling about for another one
I would personally rather see us be aggressive and go after someone up and coming like Halifax or Boreham Woods manager (or even Preece and Vermiglio at Chorley) rather than waiting for agents to contact us
