So we've stopped talking about the match now and are back to the weekly boring discussion about radio coverage? Aces.

A lot of mention about Rashford being there last night. No-one has said why. Unless I've missed it.

He's a mate of Ty Warren, used to go regularly when he was at Halifax

We've had more heroic results, and bigger scorelines, but last night vs a team who've spent the last 5 years in L1 and are sure to be around the playoffs this year, we were street smart when we needed to be, calm when we needed to be, brave when we needed to be and attacking when we need to be.

Really impressive all round, Whitfield an obvious choice for MOTM but I think the CMs and defence (Canavan in particular) last night were stand out, i can barely think of a half chance they had largely due to the absolute dominance we had in the important areas and moments when it counted. Foley must have been some player if he's still that good in his mid 30s - and credit to Neal who looks every bit as experienced. Kay seems to love playing for Wild and had peoples attention everytime he got the ball. What a night!

In the past watching Barrow has felt more like a duty than a hobby, but this team is seriously good to watch and get behind, worth every penny of the admission fee.
Eloquently put 🙏

Bringing it back to the match ….There were quite a few occasions where we tried passes that either went to, or were intercepted by, Doncaster players. At the time it was frustrating, but thinking about it again, I think it comes from trying to have a more positive style of play, making passes that could hurt the opposition. When they don’t make it, you groan, but when they work we go forward with incisive pace. It can be risky, but so much better than 61% possession (Doncaster) but nothing going forward. We had 20 shots, 8 on target! I was worried that Whitfield, Gordon, Kay, Waters and Gotts might all be too similar, but it is great to watch. As others have said, hard to pick MoM.
And finally, what was Warren doing up there to get that goal!? Watching the highlights, he placed it perfectly through the keeper’s legs - a real striker’s finish.

Yep, and the donny centre half think his name is Williams.

That's always irked me. We get the two frequencies which quite a lot of radios don't have. MW is old hat and on its way out and has been dropped from most radios for quite some time. DAB+ is so new that it too is not on many portable radios.

I seem to remember that a few years ago the FM frequency was split so that Carlisle came out on the transmitters in the North, and Barrow on those in the south.

Please Radio Cumbria - have a rethink on this.

It’s 95.2fm in Carlisle and 96.1fm in Barrow, there must be a reason they can’t have dual commentaries on each frequency otherwise that would do it wouldn’t they.. I reckon thats why the Dab+ stream was sourced. hopefully after a few good seasons under Pete and Adam the tide will turn and we’ll be the main team on FM.

Radio Cumbria have never split the FM frequencies as the studio is not able to do this.

Carlisle have always been FM and Freeview when this was established
Barrow were always AM and Online which unfortunately had to stop due to EFL rules preventing us from being able to broadcast games online.

It’s fantastic this
We’re having the best start we’ve ever made to a football league season and yet all people have to moan about is radio coverage which we get better than some clubs higher up the leagues

Unreal

Not only have we made a great start it's been football I want to watch. Keep it up Barrow.
To the radio whiners buy a DAB+ radio. You can get one less than £30 or start a thread of your own
Just say no to VAR :sentoff:

As Adam says, it’s unreal that we are playing our best football in years, beating so called “big” teams and surprising everyone and all some people can post about us radio coverage!
I will keep posting positive comments about Tuesday night as I am still buzzing - I was at the match but watched the full replay again last night. Canavan was immense, but then I think about everyone else and could list them too. Just one response to a post someone did during the match about Robbie Gotts offering nothing - watch the extended highlights and you can see that he does so much. His reverse pass the McClelland in the box was brilliant.
If you want to talk about radio coverage, please can you start a separate thread (that I won’t have to read…)😁

Adam - I don't give a damn about any other side - be they be Carlisle or not.

I am interested in trying to listen about Barrow on my radio, and restate that in my opinion the frequencies allocated to the Bluebirds could have been better thought out than they have, for the reasons I have already given.

I agree that we've had the best start for years, and it's for that reason that I want to hear it on my radio, which I don't think is too much to ask. Can you please at least ask the question of your bosses, rather than come on here and slag off a fan's genuine concern?

I was responding to a remark that Adam put on, so perhaps you should direct your remarks to him! I did it in a perfectly reasonable way asking a question in a perfectly civil way rather than the confrontational tone that you have adopted.
