The minority will eventually drive away the current board.

I have no idea what was said but it was deemed serious enough for the board to release a statement like that.
I would like to think that in the case of online comments that the admins would be all over blocking the offenders and if this happens in the stadium; we as supporters should support the stewards and club and take our smart phones out of our pockets and film the little f*ckers at it so to help the club identify and ban them.

Back in the day I might have challenged the b*stards myself but I’m wiser these days.

To be honest it must be a small minority who are being verbally abusive
If its more than criticism but threatening behaviour these people should be pursued

Pappa Cass got alot of criticism some deservedly but that goes with the territory we're it's not acceptable if it goes above that.

Let's concentrate on next season which I fear will be daunting with another unproven forward just signed.
People mention Scott Quigley and his poor record of scoring prior to coming to Barrow but Evatt and Peter Atherton more so i think got more out of lesser players maybe bit like Clough and Taylor good cop bad cop.
I really want PW to do well for him as a person he seems a decent man .Evatt won things but after a discussion with someone I met in Sydney in a bar last November I fear nice guys win nothing .

Please feel free to give me stick if proven wrong I got plenty over saying Dixon was not good enough.

Looking forward to the season only to be proven wrong on our latest signing.

Good luck with your filming I’m sure you would need a new phone afterwards

Embarrassing posts by both our Embarrassing fanbase and Board.
People admitting they've seen nothing but 'it must be bad if the club have had to post about it' have a word with yourselves. I know the three lads in question personally and its absolutely baffling that disagreeing with a member of the board winning an award can be seen as targeted online abuse.
Yet another instance of our Board trying its hardest to ban loyal match going fans as they share an opinion different to theirs.

The club's statement makes it quite clear that it is club employees who are the target of abuse (not board members). ANY employer should and will protect their employees from such treatment. Would anybody here tolerate being abused by a member of the public while they are doing their job? It doesn't matter whether you're a shop floor worker in ASDA or a nurse in A&E, you are entitled to be treated with respect.

Not taking any sides but I'd honestly like to see what the alleged abuse was before critising any one.

I was watching the Twitter feed at the time as I couldn't get to the actual event. I saw at least two of the posts (that I think are being referred to) and they were not merely disagreeing with the award, but were directly insulting to the individual. I called it out as cyber-bullying at the time. The club were seemingly forced to remove the award post (as was advised by another Tweeter). This is a direct result of the form of language being used against an employee of the club, and I believe the club has acted correctly in this matter.

I remember watching the same twitter feed and feeling uncomfortable when seeing the same insulting tweets. They were uncalled for and unnecessary. I am of the opinion the club have acted in the correct manner and in the best interests of the club and the individual the abuse was aimed it.

It now seems supporters personal opinions, criticisms and legitimate concerns whether constructive or subjective are no longer tolerated by the club and sanctions will be imposed on those whose opinions differs from the clubs. It is a dangerous precedent they are setting in my view, and reeks of do we nearly need the fans. Many that were there supporting through thick and thin in the darker days and others that have had first hand knowledge of how the club functions.
