As many have said, they went on their own from around 11 onwards, and that includes me. I know times are different now, but why let the mindless few spoil it for the majority? Take it ahead 10 years and you will have lost a generation of new fans that would have helped to keep the club going financially.

Agreed. I used to go to the match on my own as a 9-10 year old and would hang around outside the dressing room after the match to get the autographs of players like Tommy Cahill, Billy Gordon, Dave Proctor, etc.

Yes, but we can’t live in the past, after the recent crowd trouble issues that are often from the u/16 huddle in the HS End, considering the impact on the club is obviously far more damaging.

Pretty sure Cahill, Gordon and Proctor didn’t have pyrotechnics to dodge on the field!

Absolute garbage, those pyrotechnics, those people were dealt with ! and are isolated incidents as for dodging them come on stop making up things to back your comments!

Start a Membership scheme so unaccompanied kids can get in ,if anyone steps out of line deal with it in a common sense way.
You're talking as though ALL young people are hooligans etc ,which is totally unfair, so your attitude is BAN them all what a fine example of supporting young kids who only want to watch a game of football!
There is not one Stadium in the Football world where fans don't taunt each other the Majority of which is nothing.
Notice your saying nothing about the way Barrow fans have to walk through Away fans who are hurling abuse at everyone walking over the Railway bridge while the Police do nothing!

That was a grim, attritional grind yesterday and I didn't think we had the creative nous to unlock Sutton and would never score in a month of the proverbials. But if ever there was a case for the idea of subs making a difference we saw it yesterday.

Tiensia was lively and exciting and did a lot to raise our impetus-levels . . . a brilliant through-ball to Garner which produced a volley over the bar and a great burst of pace into space in the box only to be let down by a weak shot.

But with the benefit of hindsight (having watched the highlights) I now realise I did Sam Foley a disservice yesterday when talking after the match, as I hadn't realised he was behind both passes leading to our goals. The second in particular was a killer pass, released at the critical moment to beat the offside trap. Brilliant, Sam Foley. Very reminiscent of the type of slide-rule ball that we enjoyed seeing so much of from John Rooney. And there was the difference – two killer passes that turned the game when it had looked as though we would never score – and so for that reason (as I say, with the benefit of hindsight) it's Sam Foley MOTM for me yesterday.

Looked at EFL websites and cannot find anything specific but there is a lot of things on there and could have missed something. My first quote was off the web my others came from the United, City & Liverpool websites suppose it might be worth looking at websites from other L2 teams i guess but think I'd loose the will to live!

And I'm not trying to point score that is a silly statement from you regarding me not wanting kids to watch their local team. Those who know me know I drive my grandkids and my kids 100 miles up to Barrow to watch games on a regular basis. I'm the last person in the world not wanting to see kids supporting their local team.

All I'm asking for is a command sense approach, I personally don't care what other clubs do !

For once let's do something for ourselves.

Create a new Junior Bluebirds Club.

Make it into a membership scheme.

Get them involved into the club's vision/ standard's

Send them newsletters give them an identity.

I think it's great what you do but let's look for Answers and for once let's show other clubs how to do this ,instead of taking the easy way out like other clubs have done!

It is a good idea. We have the Barrow AFC community Foundation the Official Charity of Barrow AFC who I believe had a stand in the fanzone yesterday. Perhaps your ideas is something they could look at.Im unsure who runs that side of the club.? We carry so few back office staff compared to other clubs the employees at the club would probably not have time to implement such an idea.

Totally agree.
I cant remember the last time we had a bench of such quality, where you could bring players on and actually turn a game for the better!.
