“Grass to chew” What is the need to be so rude? This guy is part of the success of this club and you’re trying to tear him down.
I couldn’t give a crap what people wear

Totally agree, so much for ‘we’re all in this together’

So Pete Wild is going to fly back off holiday to have his picture taken, then fly back.blue blue boy wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2024 6:36 pm So Wyll Stanway signs and the photo on twitter is of him and Ian Wood rather than PW.
Must have taken his Child out of school for this holiday or gone by himself, Schools have a break this weekend, or still sulking at home after disagreement with member of the board.bluessupporter wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 10:40 am He’s probably been reading this thread every day from his sunbed and chuckling away!
without Iain we`d be F****d I don`t care if he`s naked, he`s been our most important signing since coming back to the EFL !EABluebird wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 6:59 am Welcome Wyll, good to see a local lad joining the club
But why is Iain Wood publicly representing our club looking like a hobo?
I mean he’s a senior executive surely he could put on shirt when being posted on the clubs official Facebook profile
This is poor and makes a less than good impression.
Or we could complete the picture and give him some grass to chew.
Strangely I'm think that Mr Hornby, were he to respond (which of course he wont) might express it differently. From a BoD perspective the position might actually be seen as quite simple. Indeed from a BoD perspective they may actually see no situation at all. Or at least not any situation that they have initiated or caused. If they have not sought to change the status quo, or have not made any decisions, or have not been proactive in any way in creating a "situation" why would you say anything at all. And if you had made those decisions, you wouldn't sit on them. There's a season to plan for.Barrow afc 2018 wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 10:17 am Must be a very complex situation between the club and PW hence the silence, wonder who’s gonna blink first. I’m backing sheriff Hornby to win the day.
I read his letter to the supporters of Halifax a few days ago and commented on it saying hope he changes the words in the one to us.Old Chap wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 12:06 pm Hi all.
I`m from Halifax and have no wish to insult or upset anyone, and hope any posts won`t be met with any form of abuse.
I`ve always taken an interest on how our old players and staff have progressed their careers hence I`ve been flitting in and out of here for some time as you`ve had some of our players recently (Warren, Spence, Waters, Newby) not to mention Pete Wild.
It may be that this thread is totally off-beam, but I`m afraid Wild has history of doing this sort of stuff. He did a pretty good job for us, appearing open and approachable, galvanising what little support we have and generally improving the club as a whole (as far as he could influence what is a shambles off the pitch). OK, he bottled cup games, and the alarming dropoff in form towards the end of the season was similar (but not as dramatic) as you`ve just experienced.
Behind the pleasant facade is a slightly different character, as his first contract with us was nearing the end he refused to negotiate contract extensions to our players as he insisted on his getting sorted first, which he promptly walked out on when you guys came calling which was not particularly professional as we were still in with a shout-out of the play-offs when he pretty much downed tools before picking who he wanted to take with him. I don`t have a problem with ambition, but it coukld have been done better.
Anyway, I wouldn`t be surprised if he`s doing the same again, but I don`t think it shows much respect to the supporters and board that have welcomed and supprted him, and it`s not the best time of the year for a club to be in limbo, and I hope it all gets resolved quickly so you can move on for next season and hopefully go one step further than this season.
Best of luck, guys!
So I might have come across a bit rude and that wasn’t the intention though on reflection I can understand.blue nige wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 12:00 pmwithout Iain we`d be F*****d I don`t care if he`s naked, he`s been our most important signing since coming back to the EFL !EABluebird wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 6:59 am Welcome Wyll, good to see a local lad joining the club

They do have a history of keeping schtum until and unless there is something they feel needs saying. So their lack of comment in one respect speaks volumes. It suggests that all the noise, rumour, toy-throwing or sanctioned/unsanctioned activity is not being driven by them.
The tension or complexity of this situation may well be related more to the actions of someone trying to unilaterally change the relationship which of course is not just based on a personal relationship but a legal and contractual one. It's this that creates tension because it potentially introduces tactics and game playing. That's what contracts are for. They are not starting points for a negotiation. Even in professional football.
Fair enough cheers ,we all support BAFC what ever !EABluebird wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 12:29 pmSo I might have come across a bit rude and that wasn’t the intention though on reflection I can understand.
I just automatically assume that company directors dress a certain way.
Secondly I do recognise the work he has put in and the valuable contribution he has made.
So I take back what I said.
It's a point I had thought about with regard to the shoe being on the other foot this time. Wild joined us only a couple of days after Halifax lost in the playoffs so things had obviously been going on behind the scenes well ahead of that.Old Chap wrote: ↑Fri May 24, 2024 12:06 pm Hi all.
