Nothing against Barrow. Just seems a lot are questioning their governments decision spending the money on Barrow rather than other things in their area.

It is a unique offering and one I don't think I've seen before but someone somewhere has worked this out and we will just have to embrace it and see where it goes?

From their prospective, the multi millions of views via tv, social media etc, it's a cost effective punt in all fairness!

And for us too, the global reach could grow incredibly..just like the tongue in cheek "barrowcelona" thing did! Didn't we even manage to get some Spaniards to HS to watch games?

I can understand the backlash. Imagine if westermoorland and furness council (or what ever its called) started to sponsor a team in Canada.

Sponsors should be lining up to sponsor clubs in league Two there is lots of exposure and more to come.

How many shirts do we sell can't be many more than 500/600 we have a very older fan base can't see many of them wanting a shirt, also regularly mentioned on the forum if we get consecutive home games people want a discount so to expect massive shirts sales in a cost of living crisis is unrealistic so around 500/600 would be good for our size of Club.

They sold out in most sizes in the club shop last night when I went and that was 10 minutes after it opened, be surprised to say we've already sold way over 500 including pre-orders, probably close to a couple thousand.

If correct just under £50,000 a season if thats the biggest deal in the clubs history we must have given previous shirt sponsorship deals out very cheap, hopefully shirts sales go well here and Newfoundland.

It’s not just about the money over 2 years

It’s the exposure that this could generate - marketing the club in the North American market - far more globally than putting a company from the UK that nobody really knows about

No kids shirts, brilliant, why. They are fans are'nt they. But as long as the adults got one that's ok. They will be here when they will be here I was told. Fantastic.
