I agree. A useful, positive, reassuring and very well-attended evening with straight answers to the wide range of questions put to the panel.

Nixon gets stuff from agents not the club

Other people used to get a bollocking for leaking stuff so presumably Jeff has been told he’s allowed

Great evening. Stephen Clements and the board were as open as could be on the state of finances, players, contracts, pitch and ground development. New Sponsorship, recruitment, B team, engagement with young supporters and many more issues. Too much to put on here. However, what was abundantly clear, was the passion and commitment the board has for this Club and the desire for us to go as far as we can. Clever, switched on leaders, who I would trust to take us forward.

Didn’t sound like it. His leaking of the opening fixture [SwearFilter] Hornby and everyone up to the league right off.

Can you please explain that in English?

Apparently the EFL had found out that the fixtures ( opening game etc) had been leaked before they had been officially released and weren’t best pleased. Also creates accusations internally.

As others have posted though, was a very positive qna overall.

Given all EFL clubs get given the fixtures a day or two before they are released its always going to be difficult to stop leaks before the 9.00 embargo on release day.

They get given them at around 7am on the morning of release day

It’s not a single incident either, it started with leaking Wild leaving well before anyone else knew, then transfers, and then fixtures. The board aren’t happy about it and are investigating.

Bit drastic, but they could release some nonsense info, to each trusted inner circle, each info all different and if they see what appears online, then they know who the culprit is.

I can't understand why those who leak confidential information feel the need to do so. Is it because of their insecurities and wanting to appear important. The I know first syndrome.?
No it is the you can't be trusted trait.
I know there are people who post on here and others who don't who know lots of behind the scenes information but don't blab it all over social media.
Be that trusted person.

Hopefully the club will stop targeting the fanbase for ‘leaks’

Leaks can only come from someone initially close to the deals who puts that information out there then the town talks.

Sounds like a positive night overall from the BoD who are constantly moving us forward despite the upsets and disconnects between the variety of fans sometimes

I think the phrase is “ you can only please some of the people some of the time not all of the people all of the time “

They will already know because his/her name will be known by the people who run this forum!

Simple rule really. If you have no connection to the club except to be a lifelong supporter then feel free to speculate.

If you have access to information about the club or are in a position of trust within the club - keep your gob shut.
