New signings
Re: New signings
Bingo / Hadrian, Is it worth moving your comments to the “big question” for the investment discussion we are going into? These are good points raised and are worthy of discussion, and come up often… This then allows this thread to stick to any “new signings” discussion

Re: New signings
Mentioned on here as a possible target Harrison Burke has joined Walsall from Chester. Three year deal with a fourth year option. Rumoured could be a six figure fee. Shows just what we are up against

Re: New signings
Why shop in the non league when we can entice players with league one experience over 70 games and only 24 a Scottish Premiership player and and a proven league 2 midfielder.

Re: New signings
It will be interesting to see where the players that left us, end up this season. The likes of Garner, Telford. I think Vassell is being linked with a move to Exeter. I’m presuming someone like Barnes might have to start lower down the pyramid and hope for a couple of injury free seasons to re-build his career.
Re: New signings
Player I think should be on our radar (finances allowing) is Northampton RB Aaaron McGowan.Over 200 EFL appearances for Morecambe and Northampton sandwiched by a couple of seasons in the SPL. After 4 years with the Cobblers he has turned down a new contract offer because he wants to move nearer Liverpool and his wife and new baby, citing the ability to get home every night as the major reason.

Re: New signings
The interview with Andy Whing this week was really good. He hinted that two more new signings were more or less sorted in addition to the three announced and the two contract renewals. It was a great insight into what's going on pre season. Interview in link below.

Re: New signings
Yes it was good. But I was hoping to hear of any updates on Campbell & Spence although we all know how that will end.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 10:27 am The interview with Andy Whing this week was really good. Re: New signings
He did say that two midfielders have moved on to play at a higher level. Gotts we know about I took the other one to be Cambell given the Northampton links appear pretty strong.AFC Blue wrote: ↑Fri Jun 13, 2025 1:17 pmYes it was good. As for backroom staff Worrall was announced the other week and it was reported he was in discussions regarding a player coach role with us so up to now that the only change/addition.

Re: New signings
Rather have Elvis Presley .Don't need another player to lay the ball off ,needs to be able to score and from the lazy run to take the penalty that I knew he would miss .I thought Bob Ledger mark 2.BarrowLad71 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 15, 2025 6:14 pm Aaron Pressley

Had time to develop playing over 90 games .
Those pleading his case sound like Saul of Tarsus but there will be no conversion.
