I thought today we looked toothless.At least four certain chances in front of goal missed.We basically hit the ball and hoped.We also spent more time passing the the ball sideways and backwards instead of moving the ball.forward.In fact we were devoid of any real plan as to how to win the game
.Our players were receiving the ball,hanging onto it for too long and then wondering who they should pass it to.it was one of the most disorganised games I have seen this team play.
I am beginning to think Andy Whing is out of his depth as to which substitutions to make.We also play far too deep which creates its own problems which meant Cambridge spent more time in our half than we did in theirs with result of them scoring and us not.
We are fast approaching the point where we stick or twist and that decision will determine the future direction of Barrow AFC.
I have to hope that our directors come to the right decision.We have come far too far to throw our future away.

Have seen fourteen games home and away this season.
It's really simple - overall most of our players are not good enough for L2.
Andy Whing is ordinary in that he can't get poor players to win enough.
I hate to say it, but a relegation performance today.

I don't think he has lost the team at all.
I think it's just that the quality we signed is now coming home to roost.

We've got some decent players it's the system and coaching ( or lack of it) that's killing us !, the players need strong leadership and Whing hasn't got it , you only have to listen to his interviews to realise he's not that confident in his own abilities because everyone we play is a good team and have a great manager!

Agree with this … not only the interviews (same pessimism each time) the body language during the games isn’t inspiring. The crowd leaving early today is your indicator …. something has to change, and not just the tactics.

I think the issue is we don’t really have the players to play the system we are trying to play now convincingly & we definitely don’t have the players to play another system.

Will always baffle me we never signed a right back , it truly has let us down.

Wood & Whing both have to take responsibility for that.

As mentioned , the performance and set up today was dull. It’s been dull since Whing came in, we just managed to grind a few wins out but we’ve never actually played any sort of decent attacking football since he came in on the whole. To counter myself not sure we ever really played any proper attacking football under Wild , but certainly when we counter attacked we went with pace and power not a 50 yard hoof to Josh Gordon.

Crowds continue to drop , the grounds like a morgue nobody’s really interested in the game just having a chat. Sadly I think give it a month and it’s only going to go one way, which is a true shame as Whing is a top top man.

When the only player showing any real urgency and aggression is a small-ish loan player you have to wonder about the mindset of the club's numerous other professionals. This is something basic that even the rather limited AW should be able to fix. You would have thought.

If we are being completely honest we need to remember this team is a brand new set up from the start of the season we just need to trust the process of whing and the team will start to gel more eventually whing is the manager at the end of the day he is the decision maker with what he wants from his team it’s his first full season at barrow he gave us amazing form before we lost to Bromley it’s just our heads slip once we’ve lost game then form drops Abit but after a couple of games we pick our form back up yes yesterday was disappointing and we didn’t look like scoring we need to be patient there’s teams losing every week in and out and that’s not what we are doing at the moment trust process

You can’t blame yesterday’s performance on the way the team lineup.
A clear lack of desire, commitment, positive aggression, no hunger at all. But the thing that hurts most of all no pride in wearing the shirt of Barrow AFC.
That is simply unacceptable to me and plenty of others as supporters of a club we are immensely proud of.

That I’m afraid is down to the gaffer - a lack of inspiration and leadership. The body language, the actual language in the interviews. Post match interview was awful. He said , amongst other things, if it doesn’t work out we’ll move on, or words to that effect. We need to replace Kelly with someone with experience and quickly. 2 wins at home in 4 months . What’s the style, what’s the pattern what’s the plan? Are the players- his players- good enough. Why can’t he get a tune out of them. ?

Not sure if the new team thing can still be used 17 games in. I would say we have got some results when we have only been good in spells and we have got away with some, largely down to some great performances from Stanway. Never see players barking orders on the pitch, they never look to each other after a goal is conceded, or showing frustration at missing a chance or being subbed off. You need that extra edge on the pitch competitively.

Since the return of previously injured players, there had been an improvement and upturn in form following a dismal return from the opening 8 games.
This despite set backs in games losing players through injuries and sending offs.
A return of 7 points from the last 7 games (7 goals scored, 9 conceded) might not seem good but supporters of Bristol Rovers and Harrogate have seen their teams in free fall.
Bristol Rovers have lost all the last 7 games scoring a measly 3 goals and conceding 19.
This was a team being tipped for promotion at the start of the season.
Harrogate have only last week's draw at Notts County to show from their last 7 games.
6 defeats 5 goals scored and 15 conceded.
Having said that, we do need to start winning games soon, preferably at Newport next week.

Yes but we don't want to be constantly looking for two teams worse than us. Bristol Rovers and Harrogate will probably have more chance to strengthen in the window if they are still down there.
