I can’t see that being anywhere near Nige, 100k or there about, the important thing would be to get a sell on clause added.

£100k rising to £350k after so many appearances and a sell on clause is probably nearer the mark for a keeper who will be 25 come next May.

Yes but not so much in the lower leagues. Not many players move for fees these days a lot players prefer to run down contracts and make the move more financially viable to them rather than the selling club. We have been the victims of such practices in recent seasons. The madness with transfer fees comes in the Premier League IMO.

I liked Andy Whing but at times he looked lost when the situation became difficult and I think when he said he was baffled after his last game in charge against Tranmere that sealed his fate.
I thing when Whyl Stanway signed from Chester it was Ian Wood who was there as I don,t thing Andy Whing was at the club which is a bit strange that Whyl has such an attachment to him.Managers do get sacked and it will happen at whichever club he ends up playing for.
Like has already been said if he is now determined to go the club should get the best possible deal with add ons and a selling on percentage the higher up he moves hopefully something for every move and not get screwed over by the bigger clubs.

If Stanway is wanted by a higher league club he'd go whether Whing was in charge or not. In fact, he'd go whoever was in charge. Footballers go to the highest bidder whether they are locals or not!

Interest in whyl was being talked about long before whing left, so I don't think any decision is based on that.

I think he’s good, but not that good.
Very good off his line i.e quick, but not always gets it right, and can get caught out.
Decisive with crosses, and a puncher rather than a catcher, and again can get caught out.
Kicking/ releasing play, not bad but a lot of massive hoof balls, which may have been his instruction. I
Shot stopping good - but that’s his job.
Nothing stunning that dictates a must move on. A punt only for a higher league team.

We fail to ever capitalise on players because we have no structure at the club so we rarely have any home grown talent.

The lack of any kind of structure and real identity and this underdog bullshit is probably part of the reason for a series of underperforming managers.
