Those who know me know trips to Shrewsbury are a lot nearer to me than Barrow home games which I get up regularly for. I've lived and died with this club for well over 60 years, ridiculed in the playground as a kid for supporting the team, saw us relegated at Alfreton(other than 1972 that was the worst I've ever felt), endured the Atherstone incident. Flew home when working abroad to see Barrow play Winsford in 1999 as it was our last game in the 20th century (a boring 0-0 in the pouring rain - I did admire the streaker braving the weather though). And win the cup in 2010 & get to see the lads play Cheltenham in December 2020 during the covid season - what a moment to be back in the EFL again never ever thought I'd see that hence why we must survive this season. Never call me not being arsed about Barrow or sitting in the Barrow end. Hope you are going to Barrow away games at 72.

Your retort is more than valid Andy as were many that were made on Tuesday night.
Sure there always is a fine line in such matters before it escalates into a slanging match and totally pointless.
But as supporters we are always at our best as a united front supporting our team.
A new hope starts on Saturday and chance for some of our players to prove they are indeed up for the battles that remain on the pitch until season ends. One thing for sure it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

What is Dino going to bring us?
His history suggests he could be a loose cannon (how come not managed for a couple of years?), or just the man for a last ditch scrap (and other mixed metaphors).
How many games will the board give him with 17 matches to play?
Football is often brutal, and our board are showing that they have a honed killer mentality if a manager doesn’t perform.
11 changes (mainly sackings) since Evatt left in July 2020.
The appearance is that that demonstrates an unrealistic but unquenchable desire for success.
But what is success for the board?
I suspect that permanently staying in L2 is an essential, and hopefully flirting with success occasionally (playoffs, decent cup runs).
For now, Dino, just keep us up.

There's no denying Dino has more valid, and on the surface useful, experience than Gallagher has but I'm still going to question how he's gonna instill the necessary fight needed to stay up in some players who appear to have no inner drive for themselves and no interest in keeping the club in L2. God I hope he proves me wrong.

Every Barrow fan can choose how they wish to express themselves at a football match within reason! There was nothing inherently wrong with how fans expressed themselves on Tuesday at full time and I've seen worse tbf.

Hopefully the players respond to the criticisms and win some games.

As for the manager appointment its all luck and timing with these appointments, I think Gallagher was the wrong time to appont a coach like that whereas this seems like right time to appoint Dino, well here's hoping so anyway.

Well said! I can't match your superb away record, but like many, ahem, 'senior' fans I can easily recall standing on the windswept and pouring with rain terraces of Holker Street with less than 200 other souls wondering what the future would hold. To question someone's commitment because of where they happen to sit in an away ground is beyond stupid!

Not impressed not been in manager role for over 2 years not alot of experience really as a manager just hope he can keep us up though as if we do go down i can't see us getting back up as national league is the hardest to get out of crowds would goto around 1500 ish also we would lose even more financially in non league it took 48 years to get up lets hope we can survive after only 6 seasons in the league again
