But trying to take the emotional drain out of it, we are in a 9 game season with 3 other teams. Agree. Still turn up, as we do.

This year, it’s 5 points from 12 games.

That’s against sides we should’ve picked up way more points against.

Goalkeeper isn’t good enough. Defence giving away too many chances. Midfield lacking creativity. Not enough up front to get the goals we need either.

Time to give Wyll a rest one too many mistakes.
The 442 looks much better, personally i think Jackson should play on he left and Thompson should fill in at RB. If we can get MJ Williams fit to play alongside McCann and free him up that would help. Danny Rose took his goal well last night and he should play every game alongside one of Fletcher or Gordon. Walker offered very little last night I personally wouldn't persist with him. Elliot looked very bright on the left and Tom Bark directness from the right can provide opportunities. Ultimately we just have to go for it, we've made a step in the right direction just need someone to step up and go on a goalscoring run.

I think sadly we’re down but I was given some hope by listening to the Sam Foley and MJ Williams after match interviews. We definitely have shown a bit more fight over the last couple of matches all we need now is a bit more quality.

The table and form shows this in black and white. Apart from the playoff run (which we ultimately bottled) we have struggled in the EFL. The club is just not comfortable at this level. I'll still be following the club no matter where it ends up but there will be ALOT that won't be. That's the worry.

I really haven't given up hope (hope, not expectation, mind). The 2 performances post-Bristol Rovers debacle might not have been high on quality but there is still a more settled and collective appearance to the side. Provided the returning MJW, Foley, Smith et al can stay fit there is a flickering glimmer at the end of the tunnel.

You are so right - the club still thinks, I reckon, like a non league club. Tranmere Carlisle and others do not think like that whether we like it or not. Sure Carlisle are in non league but they still think like a league outfit. We must change our mindset. If we go down (I still have some hope - don't ask me why) we must go into the non league with a big club mentality not that pathetic "little Barrow" attitude. We must keep players we think will help us at National League level. Get some Rooney & Quigley type players into the squad. Believe me it is awful football in the National League. We have got to think like Evatt did and ask ourselves can we best the best we can possibly be and think big. A couple of years back Grimsby proved it can be done. Getting relegated with an awful team (although they did the double over us surprise surprise), had a poor start adjusting to non league got their act together went on a great run and were promoted via the play offs. They had the right attitude - we are a league club in the wrong place. Shrewsbury also did it as well a number of years ago.

Unfortunately I cannot see where are next points are coming from which is really serious for the club because I don't see how we can survive even in the National league with a £1.4 million debt, there will have to be serious cuts in the budget with many of the backroom staff made redundant and as bad as they are most of the playing staff will have to be released as the parachute payment is much less than it used to be, about £250.000 I believe, I know the players have contracts but most of them will want to stay in the football League with other clubs so Barrow will just release them so we will have to start from scratch sad sad days ahead.

The only way this club will get the step change needed to grow on and off the pitch - ie Academy, girls and boys youth teams, own training facility, new stands, etc, is for a consortium / individual to take over that has got pots and pots of money to throw at the club. Form an orderly queue. This was the once in 48 years shot. We gave it a go, not sure if we’ve grown commercially as a club or not, £1.4 m losses sucked up by the board would suggest not. Average attendances third lowest in the league, smallest online reach and followers across social media platforms. We are punching way way above our weight

We've got relegation clauses knock the wages down too. It wouldnt need a miracle but it would need a Grimsbyesque return aa mentioned would be pretty unlikely.

Itd be much easier if we somehow stumbled over the line. Returning MJ, Foles and Whits will make a difference but giving Gallagher the window has proved suicidal and probably terminal. As has the run of beatable sides which weve messed up.
