I’ve never known this Forum be so harmonious in what went wrong and what we need to address – it was that obvious. It was like being on the Titanic with the iceberg being in clear view for weeks on end and changing the Captains didn't seem to work. We were so poor at home this term it was hard to comprehend and even harder to witness. Generating a fever pitch if we got a corner and glad all over if we were to score the odd goal, but generally it was a hard watch and extremely demoralising.

But it wasn’t all gloom and doom and we did enjoy some seasons in the sun and let’s face it, we ‘won’ the National League by default and we were ill-prepared for L2. And having COVID throwing a syringe into the works certainly didn’t help the transition or finances initially.

The BoDs made great progress with the ground to get it up to standard but for me the away days made me realise just how far behind our league contemporaries we really were. I am loath to criticise the BoDs but their decision making in this last term has been both shambolic and bewildering and they had to acknowledge this. It's history now and hopefully lessons have been learned; we will go again with a clear ambition of a return to L2 and if and when successful there will be less fire-fighting and a much better idea of what to do and what not to do.

Very true. It’s been a rough few years apart from the two under Wild with far too much change.
As much behind other clubs as we are I still think all of this could’ve been avoided with better decision making. We’re not a mile off the other teams at the bottom you look at the points dropped late on and we could’ve been 8-10 better off. And with the outlay we didn’t get value for money.
As has been said for a long time we trusted the football side to an ex agent, not the most scrupulous of people, and have been burned. The signs were there for all but the owners it seems. Naive at best and incompetent. Lessons have to be learnt and fast.

Get the next appointment wrong and we could do a Scunthorpe or Morecambe.

Exactly - it's a rumour, which many supporters hope is true, but it's just a rumour until it's officially announced!

I would like to see the position of DOF/puppeteer scrapped and appoint a MANAGER, not a Head Coach/puppet, and let the Manager manage, without interference from anyone 'above'.

The writing on the relegation wall has been there for months now so surely the board have had time to put things in place by now. Fans just need to know what the plan is going forward as quickly as possible. The statement issued has nothing of substance in it. Silence creates a vacuum
