Latty-Fairweather Signs for Barrow
Barrow AFC are delighted to announce the signing of left-sided defender Thierry Latty-Fairweather, who joins the Bluebirds ahead of the 2026/27 National League season.

The 23-year-old becomes Adam Murray's latest addition of the summer as preparations continue for Saturday's league opener against Hartlepool United at Victoria Park.

A graduate of Burton Albion's academy, Latty-Fairweather has already amassed more than 10,000 minutes of senior football despite his young age. During that time, he has gained valuable experience across spells with Guiseley, Hereford, York City, Maidenhead United and most recently FC Halifax Town.

Comfortable at left-back or on the left side of a back three, Thierry arrives with extensive National League experience. He featured 35 times for FC Halifax Town last season, helping the Shaymen to an 8th finish and narrowly missing out on the play-off places.

His arrival further strengthens Adam Murray's defensive options ahead of the new campaign, adding athleticism, versatility and proven experience at National League level.

Everyone at Barrow AFC would like to welcome Thierry to Holker Street and wish him every success this season!

3 left backs on the books seems excessive. Wonder if Jackson is leaving?
Haven't managed to get to a friendly have we been playing a 4 at the back or a 5?

Setup as a back 3 but when going forward we attack in a 4-3-3

Very front footed and Murray was jumping on their backs at Morecambe whenever they attempted to play sideways or backwards when a forward pass was available
