Have a pop at our goalkeeper thread again. Just like last season with Stanway. Hardly gunna give the lad confidence starting threads like this after three yes three games. Some wet wipes on here mind.

And then when Murray mentions negativity running through the club, he's not wrong, we as supporters need to start being a bit more up beat and start doing what we used to be good at and that's getting behind the team and being the ones that help push the lads on the grass on.
The games in the COVID cut promotion season, the atmosphere and excitement in the ground was brilliant, we need that energy back.

Exactly - it's especially quiet in the Brian Arrowsmith stand - and the Pop side - far too many passive supporters - get behind the team - make some bloody noise - no more football in a library please - a fortress full of mice - we want tigers , lions, hyenas -

There was a big difference in that season under Evatt. We were playing champagne football that had you on the edge of your seats it was entertaining.

So it appears unfortunately. I watched Boreham Wood beat Boston last night and that is a side who do play entertaining football with Booty and White pulling the strings In midfield

Last season was dreadful granted but it's chip paper news now.. we move on and we look forward as one.

We can all dwell on the negatives and that gets us nowhere!

Nobody likes coming to our gaff let's make it even worse and get the hostility and passion fired back up because it's our duty to do so..

Bang on.. it's like we have lost the ability to be decent supporters!

It was always the atmosphere that got me excited about football, we used to be brilliant at it, even when we only had 1000 or less.. we still got right up em.

Even when we played our noisy neighbours, we go one down and that's it... Silence.. [SwearFilter] that, we are no push overs and that's what we forget sometimes

So it appears unfortunately. I watched Boreham Wood beat Boston last night and that is a side who do play entertaining football with Booty and White pulling the strings In midfield

So did I and it's very strange that Booty was highly rated at Gateshead and played pretty well last night (although both he and White had no pressure on them at all) but was completely anonymous when playing for us! Although White was much better for us than Booty, I don't think we saw him as a creative midfielder but he runs the show at Boreham Wood in addition to being captain. Maybe that shows the difference between a good manager like Garrard and the mediocre ones we've had since Evatt? Certainly, the football Boreham Wood try to play is miles better than what we have been watching for the last few seasons.

Think back to the 80s and 90s, think back to the season we were bottom and made playoffs, think back to the trophy runs, the promotion season..

They were sometimes not pretty but the team were united, they fought and showed grit and determination! Show that this season and if it means grinding out results as opposed to playing silky football then so be it but after last season, it's not a big ask that players show determination, fire and desire then that will make a huge difference.

After last week, I see a mentality shift and that's a million miles apart from what we got last season so let's all do our but now, it's not just what happens on the pitch, it's down to us too.

If we are all fighting for the same goal, nothing can stop us! We've proven it in the past, let's do it again.

Might be for you but not for me. I want to see a team trying to pass the ball accurately and move even if they aren't good enough to do it properly. I don't want to watch a team that hoofs the ball to nobody and kicks the opposition off the field even if that's called 'effort'.
