Up until 85 minutes last night the ground was buzzing.
We had been the better team, frustratingly not scoring, but then a belter went in.
Our intensity was noticeable - man to man marking, winning lots of individual battles, and most second balls and 50/50s.
That was throughout, so our fitness levels are high.
It wasn’t anything other than scrappy, but for me an entertaining watch, nonetheless.
The NL is a notch down in quality from L2, (not least the referees), but even though hugely disappointed with the result, I felt that I’d been entertained, and that there is significant hope for the future.

Really enjoyed the game last night.

I think if we do get back to the football league it will be a 3-4 year rebuild process so why not just enjoy this season without high hopes, stick with Murray no matter what (unless we are in danger of the drop!) and just try and build over 2-3 windows ..

We can’t go through this silly process of sacking manager after manager as it’s not sustainable or a good look.

If results don’t improve, crowds will suffer in the short term but once this team clicks - be it in 6 or even 12 + months, we will be a very good team and the fans will be back.

It could be a 3-4 year rebuild process IF and it's a big if we get new substantial investment. Once the parachute money goes we are struggling.

Aye its a 2 year punt unless we get more investment or a hell of an FA Cup run.

Then the board have to be sensible with what they now spend at every step.

If we are mid table and unlikely to make the playoffs by Christmas, I think we should accept this and not over spend for a playoff push and put that money aside for the next season.

I think if it is a rebuild over a few seasons, we will need to be smart with how and when money is spent.

But I do think Murray will get it right. There was a lot to like about last night.

Parachute Payments will make no difference if the Squad isn`t good enough and crowds will soon be below 2,000. The top 7 looks way beyond us at the moment. A

Having listened to the post match interviews I think Murray needs to focus on the positives and there are plenty of them. By highlighting the negatives he is just adding fuel to the negativity of last season which we need to forget.
I really enjoy watching this team . Its fast aggressive gritty in your face football. Its what we need from the team after last seasons torture.
Yes we will lose a few games but I don't mind losing now and then when I can see the lads are giving it everything for us.
It takes energy to play like that so teams will soon work out that the last 10 minutes is when we are vulnerable if they can hang in there. We just need to take our chances to kill teams off .
In Adam Murray I think we have finally got the right man..... but we don't need to hear a despondent crest fallen interview . Just the positives for now please Mr Murray until last seasons ghost has been put to rest.

I disagree. It’s a wide open league this year. Every goal we’ve conceded has either been an error from us or a worldie. We’ll be alright when we iron out errors

I agree Rushy, he's still looking for his best team, and will be for a few games yet. Young Keaton has to start with Reid we need out and out wingers who will get to the bye line and put a ball in, then we can get the best out of Cameron. Why slag the lad when he gets no service. Well played lads, let's get a point at Kiddy now.

We should be going for a win never mind a point. Murray’s old club and Walker, plus Angus MacDonald plays there now so there’s extra motivation if it’s needed. We shouldn’t be looking to take just a point against anyone we need to be going with the mindset of win. If we play as we did for 75 minutes last night for the duration, and don’t switch off and do the basics, no reason we can’t win.

Can’t accept going anywhere let alone Kidderminster and playing for just a point.

Thanks for clarifying. The decision took a lot in the crowd by surprise.
It was a careless five star ankle wrecker. The Ref hesitated a bit as the Holker End gasped and thought he's missed it but nay. A cast iron pen for a player with a cast iron leg it would seem.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

I thought the referee wasn't going to give Wards goal-thought it was the assistant who confirmed it !

Worth a listen
This ^ it's sums up how this season will pan out unless Murray has a plan B ,this isn't being negative it's a reality.
Yes high tempo pressing is great as long as there's an end product, obviously you can't keep this up ,Smith and Marriot needed replacing because their race was done, but we had no one on the bench to bring on ,so hence Yeovil grew in confidence and just rolled the dice, we have nobody in the team to push them on ,hold the ball, yes Williams was absent but I don't think he's the answer !
As a team a few tweaks and we'll be ok ,as Murray stated our crossing isn't good enough ( or set pieces)
Murray made the mistake last night of still trying to play his way when the substitutions weren't good enough to facilitate this he has to learn and quickly!
Not worried yet but he has to drop his favourites!
I personally think we need another midfielder and a decent centre half ironically we got rid of Raglan who I think is better than what we have now just look at the second goal and tell me what any of them doing it was shocking ( Adam describes it brilliantly) !

I agree RE Raglan he is better than what we currently have (just don’t tell that to the two guests on the recent Spillin the Beans podcast you might get some F bombs dropped on you 😏)
Andy Taylor was brought in as assistant and it was said at the time he was a Set piece specialist indeed at his time assisting Murray at Fylde they had the best stats in set pieces . Let’s hope it Improves

WG, that's correct, the ref spotted the foul for the penalty. Must have been a competent ref.

A few minutes later he also spotted the foul for the free-kick that gave them their winner. On the ball, that ref, must be a top-notch official.

Hey, hang on . . . . . FCOL, spotted what foul??? He failed to spot a good tackle. Top-notch official? The fool. Has he ever made a tackle in his life? Maybe he should go into politics? He'd probably be good at not spotting common-sense.
