Just shows what having good players around you can do. He showed it at times for us but as someone else said recently he was far too deep at times, not his fault and wasn’t helped by those around him.

Did we insert any sell on fee? And what was the rough transfer fee do we know? Good move for them getting him and Stanway relatively cheaply I’d say.

I think it is reasonable to have an interest in players we have sold on (especially if there is a sell-on clause) as it might give us a better understanding of what went wrong last season. If they do well at their new club it might show that our set-up was the problem or that they weren’t doing their best for us. Don’t you think it’s natural to see how they are getting on? McCann was definitely one of our best players last season.

As you've asked the question, I have to say that as far as I'm concerned I have no interest whatever in what they do once they have gone. They are no longer Barrow players, so while I wish them (or most of them!) well, I just think it's irrelevant. I appreciate that others may think differently.

It's irrelevant. Last season has gone. It's been analysed to death. It happened and now it's gone. A team is not a sum of it's parts. Of course we had some good players but it didn't work in the team there were in. It happens. Fletcher scored as well yesterday and Spence played well for his team. How many threads to we want? If you want to start a Charlie McCann fan club go ahead but I don't know why it's relevant on this forum
