Very good draw home game extra revenue .We must treat it like a league match put strongest team out and IF we are in strong position may be use subs to rest people.Have too many memories of being victim of lower opposition remember it is their cup final too.

Somehow I can’t see us repeating the Runcorn or was it Runcorn Linnets disaster of a few years ago.

Let’s hope you’ve not jinxed it, but that was certainly a horror show.FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 13, 2026 9:17 pm Somehow I can’t see us repeating the Runcorn or was it Runcorn Linnets disaster of a few years ago.

Has anyone decided yet when this match is going to be played? I need to know whether to cancel my motorbike ride on Saturday or church on Sunday

No tv coverage either so it’s either my dulcet tones (which have healed after last week) or take advantage of the excellent ticket prices the club have put on

Re: FA Cup Fourth Qualfying Round
I’ve tried to forget about the Shaw Lane and FC United games. The Shaw Lane match was a classic in how not to broadcast. I was listening to the match and James Phillips was doing the commentary alongside Paul Casson. At the end of the match some disgruntled Barrow fans started making their feelings known in the direction of the Barrow owner. You couldn’t really hear them as they were off mic. JP should have just handed back to the studio but instead got involved in an on air argument. It was hilarious, I’m sure the recording of that incident has been “ lost “ if not it should be played at every BBC training session to demonstrate on how not to deal with people shouting abuse.
I might be wrong but when I listen to JP I always get the impression he thinks he’s bigger than the occasion he’s covering. Reading the Carlisle forum, I think it’s a thought shared by a lot of people.
